Felguard passives are nice but

… Am I the only one that Demo Locks feel like other demons like the Sayaad, the Ered’ruin, the Observer, Voidwalkers/Voidlords are left out?

Come to think of it, why can’t we summon Doomguards as our other option of personal demon like the Felguard? That doesn’t partake in Ritual of Doom and last for 5 seconds?

Why aren’t there options like PtP in the PvP Talent that increases our own personal damage? Like a potential Succubi build that can compete against the Felguard?

Why is Fel Lord a PvP talent? I mean it’s the same species of a Felguard but Fel Lords are much cooler. Why can’t they be an upgrade for Felguards instead of Guillotine (Which is cool, don’t get me wrong. Probably Fel Lords should be the one doing “Hold this for me”). Inb4 Doomlords later.

We get to summon a Pit Lord and Soulkeeper as temporary demons which are fine and dandy. I think those are quite build defining as a Zoo-Warlock. But I do feel like there are some missed opportunities for a spec that specializes in summoning many different demons.

… But maybe that’s just me.

the last time we got a new demon to play with was wod to legion with perma infernal and perma doomguard. I wish they would bring back grimoire of supremacy/ demonic servitude. They could even make it work with our current Spec based cds however…they would need to aid a spell to the demons for their cd effects. I have suggested that they just use doomguard for it too and give fel lord to demo but it probably wont happen blizzard is set on making us stick with the same set of demons for and 2-3 years making it close to 20 years since our pet options have changed. Our pets options at this point are the oldest things in the game since they keep back peddling on them.

For the class fantasy that Blizzard seems to be set on for warlocks we’ve got a decent amount of temp pets in demo. Blizz had stated before that warlocks make pacts with their important demons and that’s why they don’t change, and choices are limited. Hunters are the " Pokemon Master" pet class with the collect them all feel and Death Knights have the pretty much completely expendable pets. They want the pet classes to be distinct in ways so warlocks get the permanent set. There should be some more glyphs to add variety to our pets visually, but other than that they’ve gotten most roles you’d need a pet to fill covered so more pets aren’t needed.

I can understand that but as a powerful warlock I would make a pact with a doomguard instead of an imo, I would keep the imp around since we have spent a lot of time together but I would not use him in combat. I would want something a little more powerful at this point. That goes for the felguard too I would make a pact with something a bit more hard hitting and tanky especially if I am focused on it.

Even if they are ABSOLUTELY SET on not giving me a fel lord, they could at least give us glyphs of the many color variations of felguard as/wrathguards

This is something I’ve wanted for awhile too. Adding color options or even demons that look a bit different but do the same thing as our pets. They’ve shown that they can do it so just add variety and it would even make inscription some gold.

Agreed but nope we all get the same demon models and includeing glyphs we really only get 13 choices,

imp or fel imp
Voidwalker or voidlord
Felguard or wrathguard
Fel hunter or Observer
Succubus, incubus, shadow succubus, fel succubus or shivara

All are the same color and all have the same name combos. The one with the most choice is the sayaad group aka succubus group. I could think of a lot of different demons to replace some of these. For example

Fel hunter- uz’rul, fel wolf, voidterror, and fel stalker (All their color variations too)

Imp- wyrmtongue, doomguard, overfiends, and homunculi ( reason I put doomguards and overfiends here is because they would fill the same roles as imps)

Voidwalkers- voidterrors, void revenants, infernal souls( fel fire elemental models)

Felguard- mo’rag brutes, fel lords, doomlord ( kruul’s old model) , satyrs(?) and finally antean.

Sure some of them are really iffy but hey they are just ideas I’m sure blizzard could think of better ones.

Oh it’s not just you. As Demo, we’re supposed to be master summoners, not only just summoning more powerful demons, but also drawing out the full potential of the demons we summon. I love my Wrathguard as much as the next guy, but my best bro, my fel imp Gibpik, who I’ve gotten through so many scrapes with from MoP to BFA, is sitting on the sidelines as a result of Demo only using Wrathguard. I miss Gibpik.

It’d also be nice to be able to summon the other demons as I wish, too. Poor, poor succubus has been practically useless for many expansions now.

I’d like to see talents empower the other pets. Enough to compete with a fully empowered Felguard. Heck, just lump them all together so if you upgrade Felguard, you upgrade your other pets, too. Give some options, some variety. On certain fights with different mechanics you’d then have flexible choice to bring in a different pet for utility without losing DPS, and on fightd where your pet utility isn’t needed, you can bring in the pet of your choice. Would be very difficult to balance so they were all equally strong I suppose (like Imp being ranged gives it a clear advantage) but as long as they are close enough it should be fine.

One thing, though. I agree to making Doomguard summonable again in some way, but do not take my Ritual of Doom away from me! I have a reputation of murdering everyone in my guild for fun and enjoying seeing them die in various ways, and my Ritual Sacrifice is one such way I do it! Don’t mess with my ability to randomly kill one of my friends :rage:

For some reason that really just suits your mischievous side.

I didn’t suggest that Ritual of Doom should be removed.

Oh yes. For a time I even kept a spreadsheet of how many times each raid night people died. Got a little out of hand though, what with having new raiders every night, plus people bringing in alts that I tracked separately etc… didn’t help that I started tacking on extra death penalties for people not making it to raid and such. The +100 death tax I put onto Alliance players when cross faction happened was the moment I realised I’d irreparably taken it too far… plus there was that time we spent multiple nights wiping on Rygalon and I figured maybe a death count spreadsheet could be pretty demoralizing under the circumstances… Oh well…

Ritual of doom imo is great with only one exception why does it summon a doomguard? Why not a powerful demon like a dreadlord or pitlord that you fight and drops loot like the class order hall one, however I also think you should be allowed to enslave them. The loot they drop should be toys like a hearthstone for warlocks that have an animation of us opening a portal to walk thou.

The same way we made a pact to a demon to help us in combat, we should be able to empower the demon too.
Demonology warlocks are the master summoner channeling the void to summon and empower demons. Or at least that’s how it should be.

Imho demo WL should be able to use every primary demons without having to suffer a DMG loss.

All current Felguard talents should work with all primary demons. As well as all should get an fel storm equivalent.

Felhunter could keep the attack that does extra DMG per dot. That means we had a reason to cast corruption (/doom)
But also it could inspire the dreadstalker.

Imp could become an actual Imp Mother. Giving the previous Pact of the Imp mother to all wild imps. And perhaps summon imps of its own.

There are so many options to improve the other primary demons.
But it seems we are bound yet another expac to the fel guard.
