Feldrake giveaway, another slap in the face to legacy players

so you’re not ok when blizzard gives away something you have as a promotion, but if it something you don’t have… it’s kosher

I’m more just pointing out the obvious. Everyone has something they want but can’t have. Like the many players who don’t have the feldrake, there are items and mounts I want to. In my mind we should either stop or go all the way. Put everything on the blizzard store. Gladiator mounts mythic +, blizzcon, all of it. I can complete my collection and so can others.

you mean pointing out your own hypocrisy? yes

This is a you problem bud.

I spent several hundreds of dollars over the years on TCG boosters and such. I don’t care if they make all the TCG mounts obtainable eventually. It doesn’t hurt me in the slightest because I had years to use the mounts when they couldn’t.

Actually raid rarity and wow head puts it at 2% or so of the population who has it, so more common than that. If you’re looking for rarity you could go craft the Russet Bufonid which is clocked at .44% of the pop who has it. /shrug

Have you ever heard of the stages of grief :joy: I wouldn’t describe it as hypocrisy

I don’t think I have that one, I’m down to “watch” a stream for 4 hours to get it :man_shrugging:

That’s the entire point, nothing has changed “at your expense”. You still have your purchased mount. Enjoy it.

It’s like you went to the store and bought a new TV at full list price. Next week someone wins that same TV in a raffle. Now you can no longer enjoy your TV because someone else got the same exact TV for free. You feel cheated and your TV is no longer special since someone now has the same thing.

Perhaps you could draw happiness from what you have instead of what others don’t have.

I really kind of pity you. I’m sure there is lots of unhappiness in your sad selfish life.

You can’t understand why someone would be upset to buy a tv at full price and then a few weeks later everyone can go to the same store and get the tv for free? It’s not a raffle we are talking about. Every single player in wow can get the mount by watching the stream for 4 hours.

You’re vastly overestimating the number of people who will actually complete it. Most of the player base won’t open Twitch, and the rest will either not login while watching, not link their bnet account, or mute the Twitch player itself and get no credit, or get no credit from dumb bugs like the fearless spectator title fiasco.

Don’t worry, your precious drake will still have some sort of value. Just don’t expect people to shell out $3k for it again

100% agree. Plus it’ll go back to be unobtainable and be just as exclusive as before. Think of it as them releasing a bundle of feldrake cards :joy:

I don’t have the mount but I agree, Blizzard knows how much gold and money people spent on TCG items, randomly handing them out and destroying that value is really weird.

It should have been a classic reward and retail should have got something new that didn’t impact peoples existing mounts.

Which is exactly why they needed to crush the market. It’s too gray and scammy.

A very popular scam is “selling” a TCG item for more than one gold cap, then finding a buyer, taking the first gold cap, then logging off. Buyer loses out on gold and the scammer may or may not get suspended.

Not to mention the in-game BOE mounts, that is not the codes themselves but the actual in-game item, are also getting RMTed out the wazoo on eBay and other places for thousands of dollars.

If Blizzard got fed up with this crap, why would anyone blame them?

The only people you should be blaming are the scalpers and scammers.

Sucks to be you. High horse. Off it.

Also, I doubt you drive at all, let alone a Rolls. You’re not fooling anybody. (Speaking as someone who also doesn’t.)

You got me, I’m in that Toyota Corolla, but hey at least blizzard isn’t giving those out to everyone in the world. The streets would be unusable with all the traffic :joy:

Your only claim to “deserving” such a mount is a motenary one.

I’m sure you’ll be okay.

Unpopular opinion…

Mounts that are obtained by spending obscene amounts of gold/money aren’t really that prestigious.

Now my FOMO mog set, THAT is prestigiouse.

Bring on the free fel Drake blizz

Time is money friend, quoting a familiar voice in the back of my head.

Seems you have your answer then. You made some poor investments in this game.
Suck it up and move on. :man_shrugging:

I think the majority of people don’t care…sorry to break it to you.
