Feldrake giveaway, another slap in the face to legacy players

And to each their own. I enjoy collecting things, baseball cards, Pokémon cards, collectors pins, stamps, and in games mounts, pets, and toys. I do get attached to my highly valuable items, usually caused by scarcity. Collecting is not enjoyed by everyone so you have shared.

Well, I would hope that this situation makes you re-examine that tendency.

Or don’t, I guess. Either way, the feldrake is going to be mass distributed and I would mentally prepare for the eventuality that all the other TCG items will be as well. That’s not going to change no matter how many threads you make about it.

You can’t always control what you enjoy, but you can certainly post on a forum when you find out the rule book is changing.

3.5k feldrake: OUTRAGE!

7k firework toy: :cricket: :cricket:

Fair point, the firework is less iconic, and you can’t ride on it. But I did mention the firework in my post. I have the same feelings about it, as I do the feldrake.

I OWN art pieces. They are tangible. You do not OWN anything virtual. They are and always have been owned by Blizzard. You PAY to access them. If Blizzard closes their doors tomorrow, you have nothing at all. You are the fool for putting that much time, money and effort into something that can go away in an instant. You are dumping money and time into something that is never going to be worth the investment in the long run. Once you realize that fact, you will stop being so attached to silly virtual items.

Understood, it’s moments like this that really open our eyes to what world of Warcraft is. It certainly pushes me to want to spend less time or money on anything in the game. There’s a fair likelihood that they could all end up on the blizzard in game shop or easily accessible in game, defeating any sense of achievement.

You’d think that someone in their 30s wouldn’t care so much about some fugly, low-res mount in world of warcraft hahaha

It already was about a decade ago.

Why does this meme keep getting perpetuated? Most people snagged it for like 50k gold years ago.

I don’t disclose personal information but I am not in my 30s

Yea, that’s how I got the regular Spectral Tiger  but I was never able to get the Swift one. So I am looking forward to it becoming a new giveaway like the Fel Drake will soon be.

Oh, very nice. I think the blue or non-swift is actually rarer. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

It’s already been decided… It has hit advertising… also you know why your post disappeared they notified you as to why…

Also I recommend using aloe on your face… It will help with the bruising.

I’ve never tried aloe for bruising. I’ll give it a shot. :joy:

Not really… the vacation you’re going to get will allow you to seethe in private without subjecting the rest of us to your tantrum. I’ll be riding my fel drake.

It’s not a meme when people actually pay that. And that’s their own fault for doing it and getting mad.

People also equate the value of their mount to dollars using the TCG value. Their fault and nobody else’s since our in-game stuff has 0 value (well, within rules at least).

Only an extreme minority paid those prices in money for the card. :dracthyr_love_animated: Most vets snagged the mount for less than 100k back in the day.

And yet the ‘muh feldrake’ crowd are directly pointing to the shady scammy grey market value and saying “my 3.5k mount has been devalued!”

Also I’m loling so hard at the recent sold ebay listings. These are the prices people actually paid. Not 3.5k but still LOL worthy

You know whats god damn slap in the face to legacy players? Having a piece of elitism that no one else can get without enough hard work, What would be nice is if instead of making it a drop is making a item that starts an epic quest for it

Where? :dracthyr_shrug: I keep hearing about “so many people are so upset” but everybody is happy because the overwhelming majority of people benefit from this.

It’s like those Tweets where people make up a scenario to sound better or something.
