I have the Felcycle on my main account, but going through this again, I really wish the pet battle thing could just be any pets LOL. Specific pets from a list when you are starting out on a fresh account is just bad lol.
The only pet I can easily get I think is Wicker Pup.
Taptaf, Terky, Wicker Pup and Jennafur each take about 10 minutes to acquire. Spyragos is just a quest reward from a pretty short chain in dragonflight.

On my main account i had a 70 evoker to get Nelthara, I had a level 25 Bumbles and Wicker Pup was easy to get.
So i had to level 2 to 25 and turn 2 of the 3 to Blue Quality.
The fight itself I 1 shot thankfully. Hope it wont be a big hassle 2nd time around.
Getting the pets the levels and the items to make them Blue quality will be most the time investment.
Polished pet charms don’t take too much to farm. You can either do pet battle dailies, or kill the 6 rares in SL / BFA who drop them naturally.
I got the pets, Wicker Pup, Taptaf, and Jenafur. Just working on leveling them now.
Anyways to do level the pets faster? Being on a fresh account?
The first time I did this it took about a day leveling in the wild and going through the battle pet trainer quests from the start.
I won’t have SL open this is a fresh account and I really don’t wanna spend a minute in that expansion lol.
I am on an 80 char and can get to the places but no WQs are active that I can see. Same with BFA. Not WQs open.
I levelled by buying levelling charms with pet charms.

I think I got the three recommended pets and brought them up to 25 in less than an hour combined. Granted, I’d played through the Waking shore so I didn’t need to redo the main questline, but they were pretty quick provided you aren’t in the original wave trying to uncover what the solutions are.
By far the longest step for me was the altars because I chose to go do BRD challenge mode with battlepets to get the shadowy disguise, but that works with something else as I recall.
As far as getting charms, the battle pet world quests scale to your highest active pet’s level so you can easily farm them up. Plus R3 garrisons have a max-level battle pet stone in the mines.
This is a fresh account, no garrison, no WQs rewarding polished pet charms, and my pets are only 11 right now, been at is for a couple hours… doing through the zones and the started pet trainer battle quest.
I’ll get there, just wish there was a speedier way for a fresh account.
There are 5 easy battle pet tamers in draenor, one in each zone. Each has multiple strats for multiple 2 pet teams that have a 95+% success rate. If you use the +25% and +50% battle pet experience foods you can buy at a vendor, you can level a pet from 1 to 23 in 2 fights. If you pick up the weekly quest at your Garrison first, when you’re done, you get 10 battle pet leveling stones that are good for 2k experience each. Which means you can get 2 pets to 23, and then stone them to 25, in about 40 minutes of battles and flight time.
Edit: If you have zero level 25 pets already though, yea, nevermind, that wouldn’t work, sorry.
nope starting absolute fresh so just have the 3 from the secret pet list at 11 currently. No choice but to level through the zones slowly I guess. Oh well.
the main concern is orb 6 with none of the items and people already done getting the felcycle I hope that there will be some people still by the time I am to that step to trigger the pillars. That is how I did Orb6 on my main account, just sat and waiting but at that time the felcycle was still the craze.
Taptaf let me down. I failed repeatedly with Spyragos, Wicker Pup, and Taptaf. Swapped out Taptaf for Glimr and got it on that next try.
Glimr is from a questline in Northrend, you go back and forth between Grizzly Hills and Borean Tundra and then do some underwater stuff. Pretty easy.
The most annoying part is having to reset the ghost skull just so you can get to the NPC for the pet battle.
Go to the celebration area and pet battle the little girl in the middle between the two weekly pet battlers. She gives a ton of xp for each win. See the strategy on Youtube.
Her pets are lvl 25 and mine are 11… how would I win. I dont have any lvl 25 pets.
I’m making progress… got my pets to 18 now…

Wicker Pup, Taptaf, and Jenafur are now 25… but I can’t beat any WQ pet battles with them to get polished pet charms…

It is done… that pet battle got me ragin so bad… I didn’t think Taptaf, Jenafur and Wicker Pup would do it, but after like 12-15 tries I got lucky. Alls pets were obviously 25 and Blue quality. What a pain!
I just finshed Orb 7 going to finish this up and get the Felcycle AGAIN!

She’s been there in the middle of the two pet battle daily’s for the whole 20th celebration. I’ve been leveling up the new pets I’ve been getting through her battles.
I never noticed her! I even did the 2 pet battle dailies there on multiple occasions. I have 6 toons that regularly rotate through the celebration area. I swear I never noticed. THIS WHOLE TIME. I was hearthing to garrison and doing the pet masters in each zone for the xp /facepalm
