I was wondering- I’ve been wanting to create a character that used fel magic in service of the Horde, but wasn’t a warlock. Is there any sort of character ideas you guys can help me with? The primary outfit I’m using for this character (when I get it) is the ToS Mythic Set.
I’m a bit out of it and just need a bit of help :3. Any help is appreciated!
Do you have the Legion pre-expansion event mog sets? They’re thematically gold and fel green. If you have it it’s a good place holder to mix with other items while you collect the Tomb Mythic Set.
Otherwise the rogue mythic set from Hellfire Citadel is also really good, it’s one of my favourites and definitely gives off that fel assassin look. Those glowing fel bits off the shoulders and helm is just so good.
There’s also a lot of good offset Demon Hunter pieces from the various Legion raids. I got a ridiculous belt from Nighthold and been working on coming up with an Eredar joke mog for my Draenei using it.
I have the NH DH Tier, all of it essentially given that well…I’ve all the visible pieces lol. But, besides the point- I plan on mixing and matching while I try and get the pieces I need.
I’m asking moreso how to rationalize the idea of a Sin’dorei who was still using Fel Magic to serve the Horde and the Sin’dorei- and not be shunned either IC or OOC. Finding guilds has always been a struggle, I just feel like the idea might make it even more challenging.
Ohhh!! Ah ha! it’s early for me and I love mogging so I’ll just start running my mouth if given the opportunity.
I don’t think it’s much of a stretch for many Sin’dorei to continue using fel magic despite all the events that have occurred since their introduction in TBC. Warlocks are still around so for an assassin that uses such magic for their own means doesn’t seem like an outrageous concept to me.
You can always present your character keeping it on the down low, something they don’t really divulge. Being an assassin is likely something you would keep on the DL anyway so why not both? haha.
Otherwise I can’t think of any reason why someone would shun the concept OOC? IC makes sense if the individual is a priest/paladin holy type or just sick to death of all these fel users summoning the apocalypse haha.
What Juspions said. The Blood Elves don’t rely on fel to sustain their civilization anymore, but there are still Blood Elf casters using fel, and they don’t seem to be shunned for it in lore.
If the character is using his power in the service of his people, not taking unnecessary risks, and not flouting authority, I don’t think he’d run into problems.
Elves are easy to play as being a little magically inclined even when they’re not casters, so an assassin who uses a bit of fel to make himself more deadly, like Juspions said, would work. Or you could roll with something like a monster hunter, especially one who focuses on the demonic – using his knowledge of how fel works, and a little application of it when needed, he tracks and eradicates stray demons that are still bouncing around after the war.
