people underestimate how the 6 month subs pay themselves in the long run. thats $25 you didn’t have to pay so really your 6 month sub became $53 in 6 months
Well i think it’s the first time that agree with Clark haha
There’s a lot of type of players if you only like the current end game, balance, player power and other elements that are related to the current expansion, paying a 6 month sub maybe won’t be for you.
In other hand, Collectors, Gold farmers, players that enjoy casual PvP, some achievements…etc it’s a really good deal.
Dang it feels good to be a sub’er,
A real 6-month sub’er plays his class right.
A real 6-month sub’er always rides her freebie mount,
'Cause real 6-month sub’ers are not some neophytes…
I bought into the annual pass pre-MoP, so the 6-month sub has never been a bad deal either. For me, I think the Diablo3+a-mount was a better deal than a single mount with 6-months, but without a big enough release like D3 attached to it, I couldn’t see many people jumping on it. The mounts are a nice bonus for the 6-month sub, which is already cheaper anyway. But, I have stacks of tokens and blizzard bucks from when the gold really flowed and the tokens were cheap, so my opinion is moot.
My kids are the same as you, they cancel their accounts whenever they feel like playing another game. (The Binding of Isaac being the current favourite!)
I bought my two accounts in 2004 and have NEVER un-subbed, for any reason.
I got the statue at the Ten Year Anniversary, and I’m holding out for the Twenty Year Anniversary Gift for all of us who have continuous subscriptions since 2004.
I always get the 6 month sub. I also fill up my car anytime I stop to get gas.
It is cheaper and more convenient to pay this way.
There will always be issues but I have loved every expansion in my own way.
Eh. I am fine with not being officially sub’d, and paying with Gold.
I mean, I don’t mind that the sub’d people get bonuses. Blizzard wants to incentivize that - fine.
I love the idea of earning my game time with activities in game = paying gold for game time. Sure, I miss out on some mounts. But few have been stellar.
The Sunwarmed Furline was the only store mount that made me say - “I gotta have it!” And I converted Gold to Blizz Balance via tokens to buy it.
A few years back, I bought Blizzcon online with Blizz balance via tokens just for the passenger flying mounts. I barely watched it, I just wanted the mounts. Those were totally worth it, just to fly people around.
Having the 6 month or yearly subscription just makes sense for saving money in the long run. I guess if you’re casual it doesn’t, but as a perpetual raider and PVPer it just makes sense to me.
I’m glad blizzard has some kind of loyalty program in place for people who stay subscribed for long periods of time, but I don’t do 6 month subscriptions for the same reason I don’t buy 6 gallons of milk every time I go grocery shopping. I’m not going to use it all before it expires.
Meh, even if I was to play once a month, it would still be cheaper than going at the bar once. It’s still good entertainment, particularly when you play with long time friends, as I do. Go Impulse!
