We may need more brave players willing to come to the forum to stand in solidarity and simply threaten to end your subscription. Time is of the essence. The pre-patch is tomorrow and in a few short weeks TBC will be here. Rise up and rage against the machine. Quit.

Fresh servers will come out eventually. The whole point of not releasing fresh at the same time as an expansion is to not further divide a community that’s already dividing/cloning due to the expansion.
I’d imagine the first fresh classic era servers will start next year.

This. They will release fresh servers under two likely conditions: there are high-populations on all of the existing realms causing significant impact to playability OR they believe the majority of new and returning players interested in paying for a boost have already done so.

I can absolutely guarantee there will not be fresh for TBC.
Population is going to fall off a cliff 1-2 months in and by that point there would be little point anyway.
We are too close to release for them to entertain the idea of fresh.
New servers may indeed be added to address population issues. This would not likely mean they are going to comply with your demands for no boosts/transfers.

Oh, I didn’t know for sure that we will get fresh servers because I haven’t been keeping up with Blizzard announcements. Thanks! And I take back what I said earlier. Looks like fresh servers incoming boys!

Any new servers created to address population issues would MOST LIKELY allow transfers. Let that sink in a minute…

These guys sound like they know what they are talking about and say fresh servers are coming soon.
Nobody knows other than Blizzard for sure.
But it’s pretty logical to assume that fresh servers for classic/TBC will be spaced out into the schedule for the next 3-4 years.
Blizzard will want to create a natural space for new players to join the “classic forever” realms as well as future “TBC forever” realms and such, and fresh servers are an easy way to get people back into the game and at the same time enable them to keep the pserver/illegal scene out of the picture for legit players.

They aren’t going to release fresh servers after launch when population is already declining.
There would be very little hype or interest in it if they were released after launch anyway.
I doubt there’s anything fresh for TBC. They have the population data from vanilla, now they will get more retention info this time around.
If we ever get fresh servers I’d bet its after Wrath is completely done and they hit reset on the whole cycle. Cause let’s be serious, no one wants cata classic.

The problem is they are going to get a ton of new subs right now and they won’t notice you unsubbing. Not only that the LITERALLY SAID they’d look at doing that AFTER tbc launch. You’re not even giving them the time to do it. So go ahead and unsub and give them no reason at all to do fresh.
Stop freaking out about stuff blizzard has already said will come later. You’re just throwing a tantrum.
