I am also unable to complete the quest “Feels Like the First Time” as a Gnome. I have tried dropping and retaking the quest half a dozen times but keep finding that after being teleported to Gnomeregan nothing happens after serval minutes of waiting. I have tried re-logging, reloading and deleting cache folders etc all to no avail and am now unable to complete the major story line campaign due to this quest being bugged leaving me frustrated and disappointed.
Can’t even contact support in game as its so slow to load and when it does it just bugs out without being able to enter any text to the fields.

Random thing that I haven’t tried but might work: head to Cold Ridge Valley in Dun Morogh, near wherever dwarves spawn in. My guess is you’re running into an issue similar to troll and undead characters.

Yup, as soon as I set foot in to that starting circle it triggered the DWARF starting cut scene and Andantenormu showed up. Thank you for the suggestion!
How can such a huge oversight (forgetting to include the new starting areas for a whole race) for a pretty serious issue even make it to live, it was reported a few times on Beta I see too and still not fixed.
How is it also that no other gnome has yet run in to this issue, no one else really plays Gnomes?

alright i found that retard… im a undead and he was in the baren graveyard
I think it’s due to a combination of a lack of gnome players and when your character was actually created.
Did you happen to make that character pre-Cataclysm or after?
Has anyone found a work-around for Demon Hunter? Just keep getting stuck, Instance Not Found over and over. Abandoning quest and restarting the game do nothing
Update: It took 7 tries, but eventually it decided to work and teleport me correctly. Stay strong, I guess

As of 12/4/2022 this appears to have been fixed for trolls
I haven’t tested myself yet, but I saw some other people saying to just keep abandoning and trying again. Pretty annoying but if it works it’ll have to do for now.
As Worgen I get sent to the starting area but nothing happens and I can’t go to any other zones. tried logging, tried restarting quest and it teleports me , the city is empty except for a mailbox. Thoughts?

As a Gnome I get sent to Gnomergon - no cut scene, and Andante never comes to get me
That worked for me! Dwarf cut scene for a gnome!
I had to sync with another guildie and do it simultaneously with them and that worked…nothing else did not dropping or repicking up or anything else
this happening with my KT toon. it starts the portal to boralis, then i get stuck in sw. i tried taking the portal to boralis from sw, and it takes me back to sw castle. I take the boat to boralis, it portals me to sw… I dropped the quest and take it back, it does the same thing. found a work through, fly over northsire abbey… even though she’s a KT. go right up to the door and the cut scene happens
