My server and its group are dead. I see some server groups have 5 servers and don’t really understand why its this way.
There have never been public orders on my server. There are some M+ and Raids always going but not enough to support casuals or ALTs. Most of the M+ groups are 16+ now and Heroic raids seem to only invite you if you’re 400+. The one active guild I found is only 1/8 Heroic and has to pug to fill every week.
I’m 7/8 Heroic from early pugs but switched from Preso Evoker to Resto Druid and at ilvl 392, I feel like I made a huge mistake falling behind the curve. I don’t really want to go back to Evoker due to the talent changes which I feel like force a style of play I don’t enjoy.
Can anyone recommend an active server with more than a 2 servers in the group that has players at all ilvls still playing?
HORDE: area 52, tich, illidan, mal’gnis
Alliance: stormrage
Once the factions are combined ignore the factions but right now those are the servers you wanna be on.

Have to agree on this, you totally nailed it.
Missing Zul’jin and Emerald Dream for Horde and Sargeras, Kel’thuzad, Moon Guard and Proudmoore for Alliance.

What region are you in ? West coast ? East coast? Australia ?
From my understanding this has nothing to do with server groups. M+ and Raids are cross-server and cross-faction. Changing servers will not change what you see in group finder.

I’m in CST “Texas” but have Fiber so I have great ping to EST as well.
I have all but my main trapped on Turalyon. I refuse to give Blizz money to xfer off a dying/dead realm.

I would check wow progress wow raid times around when you play.
Not necessarily for raiding but they show when the majority of players are on.
Maybe true but Public orders and the ability to progress crafting as well as find a guild so I can progress item level would be very beneficial. I ran 20+ M+ last week with my highest being a +16 and my highest in time being a +14. I think I got a grand total of 1 piece of gear in those runs. I’m playing my 392 Resto Druid and you rarely see Leather players who can pass me gear these days so its going slow. Rogues and Druid tanks seem to have disappeared with 10.05.
Yes, these things and guilds for raiding would be beneficial. I was speaking more for just the pugging aspect.
uhh the only things that are locked to the realm ( realm group) is guilds, AH, work orders, and a few other things.
Instant content found in LFG should be servers and factions unless its cut up but from my experience I’ve played with a lot of other people who aren’t on stormrage.
same but i will die on my realm. i attained multiple ce’s through mop and wod before i quit wow until shadowlands. when i came back my realm was dead. if i didnt have a gazillion toons on this realm i would xfer. but just the thought of moving realms and starting over like that and paying extra money to do so is what is stopping me.
my realm used to be in the top 10 of all u.s. for progression and it just died somewhere through legion and bfa.
i would love to get back into hardcore raiding again but in order to do so i would have to transfer my personal guilds and all my alts that i work on everyday which is something i cannot do.
the way sharding works i think all blizzard needs to do is opening up 1 realm with tons of sharding per region. then i can get back into a hardcore guild again without any additional concerns.
Hey its a bit more exciting to be on realms that isn’t 90% middle aged raid loggers (hello Stormrage).
OP was just asking for realms with healthy populations and that’s much wider than what you said.
Not really. The mega servers just have more of everything and unlike the other realms that are decaying they are growing as more of the population migrates to them.
Make the auction house 100% region wide.
Make public work orders region wide.
Add cross faction guilds. (mainly because my server is 99% horde)
I don’t care if I am on a dead server otherwise. Those 3 things though, they disappoint me on a dead server. I can do everything else cross server, most other things cross faction. Blizz will never do anything about it though. For some reason they will do server mergers to maintain healthy servers for Classic, but Retail, nope.
My server started to die at the end of BC. I did re roll in cata to a high pop server. Guess what, that is also dead now. I don’t want to re roll a 3rd time. I am not paying blizzard for a service they should be maintaining healthy populations on their own servers.
I like Area 52. Really popular server, only downside is all the negative things tend to happen to us. Server lag, bugs, etc… A52 is almost always one of the servers with issues. Likely because it’s so popular.

In my opinion, this whole server thing is somewhat outdated. They should all be like Eve, having a single server but with channels for each zone. Now the funny thing is Eve is about as old as WoW, yet they can do it. I understand Eve never had 1/10 of WoW playerbase, but it’s possible to create instances of zones and have them hosted on different servers. Atlas does it.
I have recently reactivated my account, it hasn’t even been a month. But it seems my server (Nemesis) died while I was gone and I didn’t realize it till I hit lvl 70 and had to use the LFG tool if I wanted to do any of those open world events, such a hunts or that Primalist Future portals event.
It may sound like I’m complaining over a small point, but as a player, I have a lot more enjoyment with these “walk-in” events if they’re actually like that. I enter the quest zone and there’s people doing it already and I tag along. Its fun and immersive. It’s not immersive to open the LFG and join a group then do whatever.
I realized I should move to the only high-population server in Brazil (Azralon) and did it yesterday. The funny thing is I’m seeing plenty of people even in stupid places such as Bastion. Every server but Azaralon is low pop. Why even bother? The people left there are those who don’t feel like starting over for a given reason. Whoever creates a new character outside Azaralon is doing it wrong.
Not merging those servers is actually hurting the game. I moved servers once to Nemesis when Brazillian servers were released, so its kinda annoying doing it again but I suppose its for the best, as I have no hopes of Blizzard merging them any time soon and I felt the world was too empty for a MMO.
Just on a side note, I have yet to complete a crafting order on Nemesis, I never seen any listed for LW nor Alchemy.
