I’m a collector too. I collect the things I like first. Everything else I can get the next time it comes around. What you need is a therapist if you’re getting THIS worked up over a video game. It’s unhealthy to break down over it.
the issue is that they promise returning items, but very few of the impactful collection items have made returns at all, and the rising cost and overabundance of these items make it so even if they did, we wouldnt have the tenders for it anyway.
personally i missed out on the magenta cloud serpent, all right ill just pick it up later! well over a year and its not made any sort of return, we have no timeframe on how long the wait is. even if the only “fix” is a timeline of when they plan on bringing certain items back thats better than nothing.
You were never supposed to be able to buy every single thing in the trading post every single month. The entire point was to keep you coming back month after month. They didn’t even try to hide that that was the point.
oh i see one trigger word in the title and i know everything
please read the posts before you comment.
You know you’re in trouble if Bloomsday has a better take than you
I love how the response to “I wish prices would stop rising” is “YOU DON’T NEED EVERYTHING!”
No one is saying we do, we’d just like to actually enjoy the Trading Post instead of seeing a lot of new items every month to only be able to buy 1-2. It’s not an unreasonable ask to stop inflating the prices of items.
It’s a game, it’s meant to be fun. Inflation on items the playerbase has no control over is not fun. We get enough of that bs in real life.
Think the notion of maintaining price consistency in the TP got drowned out in the noise of the OP figuratively crying over pixels
I did read it, you said you feel like you’re drowning:
Whether I agree with your criticism or not, I’m more concerned about your mental well-being here.
The OP feels like he’s being punished because they’re adding new and interesting items to the trading post that he can’t get 100% of. He’s flipping out and calling everyone who points it out to him that it’s really not that big of a deal a troll and having a near mental breakdown over it. This is not healthy behavior.
Yeah. “collectors” sorta are wanting everything.
You know.
That whole “filling the boxes on websites” is entailing.
The entire thing is and always has been full of garbage. Big hit with the super casuals though.
Haha, I’m just really concerned for the OP. Some people form unhealthy relationships with the game and I do worry for them – this game will shut down one day probably.
Collect if you enjoy collecting, but if it’s causing you to feel overwhelmed, I think it’s time to take a break and reevaluate.
yea, EVENTUALLY. not saying lemme buy the trading post out each month with one swoop, but the original pitch of the trading post was that we would be able to collect things we missed eventually and thats just not happening.
I wouldn’t worry so much, its likely hyperbole which is a norm for the internet. If I ask someone to do the following equation in their head 3 - 9 * 6 / 4 + √63. Most people would feel a bit overwhelmed. Its a fleeting feeling that disappears when the subject isn’t in sight. At least that is how I took it.
Wonder if anyone who doesn’t understand order of operations will attempt to solve this equation ![]()
You know I don’t know the order of operations with the square root. I assume it goes first.
It doesn’t all need purchased. And some of what I like, others might not like so it’s good to have a large selection. At the least they could give us a little bit more tenders so we can purchase at least half of the stuff. As it is, I find I can get a mount and then like two more things. lol
lol, wouldn’t really matter. The addition to the result of that square root would occur last anyways
I’d put it into Chat GPT and get it to do the work for me. Take that Math teacher! I never need to do math again.
(I was never good at math)
I can’t even bring myself to buy any of June’s stuff despite so much of it being awesome.
- I won’t use it anyways (Besides the point really).
- I’m tired of wondering if I should actually buy anything.
So no OP, you’re not alone. I’ve given up just like you have. All this “not enough tender” stuff does to folks like us is disenfranchise.
The wonder and awe are gone and all we can do is have an AA for ourselves.
