that’s fine, you don’t have to agree with my opinion, it’s just my opinion… climbing through the 1500s bracket has just never been easier for me than it is right now.

Let me venture a guess that you’re playing a paladin?
I’ve played on a couple accounts to 2550 or so, and hit 2100 in BFA in like a couple days of queueing without really trying. I’ve hit 2200 on like 5 different classes. I’m like 1700 right now and games are actually so hard. Granted my mage I’ve been playing with is a bit undergeared. In every expansions since TBC I’ve hit 1800 with my eyes closed, this expansion it is SO much harder. Certain classes are just so oppressive damage wise, while simultaneously having crazy survivability and utility. Not only class design but I regularly fight players on glad mounts and with rank 1 titles in like the 1700s. Idk if they’re keeping MMR low to cap, doing gold carries, doing viewer carries, but these are clearly players that don’t belong at this rating.

i main mage and alt paladin, yes. but im not sure that this is all that relevant, especially after the most recent nerfs.
Not accurate at all, lower rating is substantial harder than it was previously, esp due to carries/viewer games

There is no bottom to the bracket anymore. No one plays this game anymore. Only people left playing this, is people who are good at it, or have been playing forever. Most of the people you face have achieves of some kind.
Basically, if you took league, hacked off iron to silver, or even gold, and then said ok only Plat and up or Gold and up can play the game from now on. Thats what has happened to WoW over the years.
Even though you might have used to be Plat, or Diamond, well now the bell curve is gonna shift. You might be in Bronze, or Silver now. Because the playerbase is condensed, smaller, and you are no longer above average, your average.
Of course to the top dogs, the challengers, 1500 is still 1500 to them. But its not to everyone.

I think there is just an unusually large amount of people queueing this season because M+ gear is comparatively bad to pvp gear. I’ve played a bit of alt games at like 1300 and these people are not terriblee terrible. In the past 1300 was like new-to-the-game clicker level but these guys are focus sheeping and stuff. Id say rating is deflated by about 100-200 points from the norm.
Those coming off their inflated bfa s4 ratings are prob wondering if theyve really gotten that much worse at the game
As a rdruid main with 2.1k xp and 2k xp on every other healer…This xpac feels the hardest by a lot to climb… Seems on my rdruid im hard stuck 1500 atm and super frustrated with my class. Never been so hard to climb for me. Not sure whats going on.

The problem is, is that people dont want to take the time to learn what the hell to do to win matches. Ive tried helping people they dont use their CD’s right, they dont know how to CC, dont know when to run. its little things that make you better. People just want to go in and pop CD’s and win and when someone knows how to react to it they want to say that class is OP or they in fact need a buff. Just because your not high rated doesnt make your class bad. Learn from your mistakes and learn how to counter play to win games. Stop blaming everyone for you not taking the time to learn the strat.
