It would be really cool if we could be given the option (as the plot owner) to toggle the interactiveness of an item so that we have the option to have them appear a certain way permanently, or to disallow visitors to interact with/move them at all.
For example, the “Conjured Altar of the Guardian” decor piece is one of the coolest pieces in the game right now, and is very unique-but only when it is “opened” by interacting with it. When it is closed it just looks like a plain stone disk. I would love to have this be the central point in the entryway of my 5 Flights themed house, but it is easy to miss it’s intractability, even with it at 200%. I have had several friends and guildies come to my home and walk right past (or over) it, only to remark how cool and fitting it was once they figured out it opened. It would be amazing if I could just turn it “on” or “off”, or lock its appearance, according to the way I wanted.
As an additional point, the “Secretive Bookcase Wall” is one of the most inexpensive and easily accessible-and dyeable!-bookcases in the game right now that actually has books on it. Every other bookcase either is empty, or undyeable which limits their potential in certain builds. The secretive nature of the item is undoubtedly part of it’s charm and an integral aspect of why people use it, but if we could chose to toggle it’s intractability it would drastically increase the possibilities for the item in people’s builds! As well as decrease the frustration when visitors come and click them all “open” if they were only intended to function as bookcases and not doors.
Bottom line is this: Housing has been incredibly fun-and addicting! We have been given so many creative options in how we can use each and every piece of decor, adding some form of toggling ability for the interactive pieces (few as they are atm) would be a simple way to up the build possibilities and allow players further control in how their plot is seen by visitors!
