Nice to finally see a post here on the actual forums where devs cant ban someone cause they dont like them.
5x blood for being solo
Feb 26th, the lag in stv event still unbearable.
- Extreme lag
- Who was impacted by that behavior? everyone
- Where were the players who were impacted located? northern stv
- What day and time (server time) did the issue occur? all weekend
- What realm are you on? living flame
On Living Flame right now, 3pm server time, I have been completely lagged out at the blood moon event for over 5 minutes and the game will not let anyone else logout, chat is still working but the game itself is completely locked up.
Living Flame (US) at 3PM still lagged like I’ve never seen before! I had bad experiences on this event but this one was just awful. Lots of people running in place and huge lag spikes that would last for several seconds. It was unplayable across the map, but mostly at Nesing, where Loa was.
Removing CC’s during the runback was a good thing. This event still needs more layers. Most people are going straight to an altar (where the boss is). What happens when you put 2000 people on the same spot of the map? Well, we that actually play the game have known for a long time that that player density on an specific area destroys the server and makes it lag. The solution I see is:
You either remove the boss and makes more coins drop normally across the map or add more layers. The current “AoE at the altar near the boss” meta is unfair and gives privilege mage only groups. Or maybe put one more boss that spawns on another area.
I ran across the map and I saw some areas completely empty because everyone is stacking at the altars, because the event design gives incentive to this gameplay. Players have to be more spread out and gain more on kills participation. Y’all said that by yesterday the event would be adjusted, but I’ve only seen it get worse and worse.
Not sure how impactful it could be but, is there a way to make the players that Opt out of the event have their own layer(s)?
