My experience with this system so far is that my arena teammates and more PvP-focused guildmates on Alliance faction are in talks to reroll horde for their superior PvP racials and larger pool of players in the event that this feature becomes permanently active
I don’t want to reroll but if there is nobody left on alliance to play with after this change, I won’t have any choice. I am mega disappointed in this.
77 posts so far in this 551 post thread bringing up premades with the vast majority of those disliking premades.
The simplest solutions would be to either limit que groups to 5 or put premades in their own que against premades. Been solo queing random bgs in every expansion since WotLK and this environment is a different level of bad. It is a fun game type that is being ruined with one sided play regardless of faction.
Just get rid of factions.
You already torn down the last wall that kept the game true to its name Warcraft, a struggle between Horde and Alliance.
Arena is already cross faction. Alliance will PVP even less. So, what’s the point of factions at this point?
Why didn’t you change AV when Alliance were losing 99% and begging to move the Horde base back.
Turning a classic nostalgia game into retail to appease the meta chasers might put money in your pockets, but it’s bad game design. What else is new.

Please keep it and give the Alliance perks like free respecs or heavily discounted epic flying.
i guarantee not a single person who is pugging BGs likes going against premades lol and if premades have fun playing together, good do it against other premades.

At least you could PLAY THE BG AT ALL without an insane queue. I would’ve taking losing over not being able to play anytime. Most of the Alliance playerbase sucks at PvP seeing as Horde pugs will win 99% of the time if it’s not a premade. Racial abilities do give an advantage but not to the point where you can’t win against pugs or arena teams below 2000 rating. If you are losing in PvP to Horde and it’s not above 2000 arena rating, it’s because they were better players or their comp hard countered your comp.
Have you tried joining a pre-made?
Only chance this works is if you offer free alliance transfers to horde. No point being alliance anymore.

Either of these solutions is fine.
If Blizz doesn’t want to break premades entirely by restricting group queues to parties of 5, then at least set up a better matching system.
There is no reason why premades of 10+ are going up against random pugs.
Now that horde has instant queues, there are way way way more premades than ever before.
There has to be a way to match raids up in BGs.

This is the most common response to people disliking queing into premades. “Have you tried becoming the thing you hate?”
I think the change was great. I’m finally able to login in and play in battlegrounds and not have to keep coming back every 15 minutes to check if my queue popped. As for the alliance having an issue with this, I don’t know of a solution. Having horde have instant BG queues just as they have them doesn’t hinder their playstyle whatsoever. The excuse that now alliance will go horde is a bit much, people didn’t choose alliance to have faster queues, most chose them because they have a group of friends that play that faction.
I do hope this faction vs faction comes back, the QOL is so much better.

This is a great change/addition because I am able to do more than one BG in the limited time I get to play each day.

Finally, for the first time in tbc, I was able to just queue and play bgs for a couple hours, and actually get a bunch of games in. I thought the masks were funny. I personally love this change and think it should be implemented permanently. I think you should make it so people can opt out of this, and also make the masks removable for those who want it. But personally I found the whole thing amazing. Great work

This change is terrible. I am canceling my subscription. Alliance had a bad win rate before, but this is way worse. Every other horde team is a premade. Now the horde get the best ratials, instant queues, and a much faster honor farm.

That isn’t how faction change works, you get to keep everything you earned. Don’t comment on something if you’re ignorant about it.

This change is actual trash. Horde dominates every open world farm spot, every summoning stone. Give them faction transfers instead to balance it out.
