Feedback:Quest Item Outline for Accessibility

One item I would like to see the development team consider keeping from Modern WoW is quest item outline. The reason for this is from an accessibility standpoint. Similar to the color blind settings, it is a feature that greatly helps players with visual disabilities. Without it, it is very difficult to identify items on the ground for those with a partial blindness or diseases that cause difficulty in contrast separation (color blindness obviously being one, but many others).

Now obviously we made do without this for a long time before it was introduced in 2014, I believe? However, I would imagine it is a functionality that a lot of players have welcomed, not just those with a disability, but those without vision issues could live without if it weren't available. However there are those among us that have come to depend on it to function independently within the game.

I understand the design philosophy presented during the Classic panel, but I would strongly urge you to keep this addition for the sake of the community with visual disabilities.

Within my group, we have a saying of "mushroom sympathy" that started with a quest in Zangarmarsh back in TBC where we had to assist a group mate with retinitis pigmentosa to find the appropriate quest items if they finished early. This stuck with us over the years and we joke about it, but it was obvious with the degeneration it was becoming more and more difficult to locate items. The outline dramatically improved their experience and ability to interact with the game world. Now, it's rarely for them to need "mushroom sympathy", but being diehard fans of Classic, and experiencing the Demo without outline, it would be a severely difficult experience for them to go back to, even more so now because of disease progression. My intent is not to seek pity, but to provide perspective and experiences of playing with players with visual impairments.

If any additional information would be useful I would be happy to share.
I think any and all accessibility changes in wow should all be in wow classic.

You might want to add the word "accessibility" in your title if it can fit.
Maybe allow it to be a toggle so players could play eother way. However i dont see this as an issue to be added for accessability issues.

I agree. stuff like this should be toggled and default to off, but accessibility is a good change.

Edit: but it cannot be allowed to apply to Mankrik's Wife.
I'm okay with it as long as there is a toggle. I'm all for accessibility.

I would hope it would carry over exactly like it is in Modern WoW, which is an interface option you can disable though it is tied to character outlines as well. Those would also be welcome but the more important piece is the quest items that are designed to blend into/match the environment in which they are located.

Also good idea, I squeezed it in :-)
No changes. You are the people we had to fight to get this started in the first place.
