Hey all, anyone else noticing people not wanting to give game feed back unless they also have Alpha? I feel that this can cause a gap on what the theory crafters/streamers want and the more casual base. I feel that in Alpha where is the majority of the magic is done, which would hinder majorly in the casual sense. Beta for me is just polishing the foundations. Thanks.
I’m confused. What kind of feedback can you give without actually testing anything?
Class/Spec tree. Thoughts on the flavour/direction.
That’s not an answer.

From watching people.
- Direction the talent tree wants to bring you compared to main.
- Visual Flare, do you like the new coloring?
- Spec tree synergy. Pressing A gives you B at certain scenarios, would this be good for certain audience in delves/open world. Example, Unholy Death Knight tree with Putrefy. I don’t want to press it off cd, I want to press it only when I’m about to lose my haste buff.
Stuff like that.
I notice that unless you’re in Alpha, Blizz doesn’t even pretend to give a damn about your concerns about Midnight.
That’s not how it works OP.
Not to mention feedback is almost universally ignored by Blizz these days, they know better etc.
Forums have to be completely on fire for them to react, and even then they generally think they know better.
I’ve done some Alpha testing and much Beta testing, and it’s not what it used to be anyway.
Shadowlands saw them receive so much feedback about the direction they were taking and the metric farming, but did they listen? No, only when it was too late and many had already jumped ship.
Save your time, let Blizz run the game into the ground if they want to.
And that’s a good thing because you really only want to take feedback from people that are actually playing the alpha. You don’t want feedback from people who are just theorycrafting nor from things that they just watched a streamer do without their own experience.
People will say that they want/don’t want something and then they play with it and actually realize that it was nice all along.
Just reading some notes does not suddenly mean you understand how that will flow or otherwise work out.
An opinion on what you perceive changes to be without trying it is not fully valid.
It would be entirely valid to say this is how you feel the changes are going to come across but no one actually talks like that. There’s scream and cry and act like they know something they don’t.
I have not noticed this. In fact, I see plenty of threads that start with, “So X, who is a streamer with access…” and then they proceed to give a 2nd hand account of their feedback on the other’s experience. This forum has probably had more threads per day in the past 3 weeks since the Addon announcement than it did leading up to the “no flying debacle” of Nov 2014.
feedback: i don’t like the simplification of classes, removal of addons and the removal of soul reaper from my class talent tree.
does blizzard care what i think? no.
The majority doesn’t do alpha, doesn’t do beta and doesn’t offer opinions on anything. They just play the game.
We know this because we are not seeing millions of opinions.
