Feedback, New bank and bag changes make me not want to play the game

So bit of feedback here. I have used UI mods for years because I cannot stand the bag system in wow. I have object permanence issues (thanks adhd) and if my bags aren’t one large inventory near the center of my screen I have an extremely hard time keeping track of where things are. I have ALWAYS had addons that let me move the bags and combine them (and the bank) into one large window where my brain can comprehend it.

I log in today and… all the addons are broken. my bag is default ugly and stuck in the bottom right of my screen and my bank instead of being one easy to see window is a series of tabs that make no sense and I cannot combine into one window. It may seem like a really small thing but this change legit makes me want to log off and not play while this is the inventory. I have already written the entire bank system off as something I will never use again in its new form. ebut I am praying just PRAYING that we get the ability to move the bag window or this game will soon be unplayable for me.

Please stop fighting the ability to play the game the way we have for years.

I would suggest Baganator it’s already updated.

You realise of course that Baganon, etc will be patched within a few days. This sort of thing always happens after a major patch/expansion release.

If you have an issue that makes a UI change uncomfortable for you (as opposed to just annoying) then just take a few days off WoW, play other games, touch grass, etc and then come back.

The bank comment does come across as overly dramatic, though. Especially if you’ve used or had a guildbank and/or been using the warbank. Again, Baganon, etc will just overwrite the new look for you in a few days anyway,

You are not alone – even for other people who do NOT have ADHD. There will always be a delay in UI mods being updated because they’re often a labor of love by someone who isn’t being paid to make them. A little time and they’ll be updated.

Hint: this happens every single patch, especially when systems get overhauled and changed.

There will be an addon that can do the thing you want it to do, just give it time. This is not a crisis or anything to be remotely concerned about at all.

Yeah, that’s on the add on creators. Give them time to update their stuff. Nothing to do with blizz.

Yes, that’s how patches work. They break addons, then they get updated. Just like it’s been for 20 years.

I absolutely hate the bank now, even with UI fixes… What about the thousands of gold spent on tabs, bags, a reagent tab that is now one… Across 45 toons, that’s a lot of gold.

take it up with the addon makers.

Baganator is awesome. One big ol bag. Bigger even than the warbank.

Definitely check if your add ons can be updated. Had a few that were ready to update today. If not, keep checking back.

Respectfully, I disagree.

I love the new bank. We have more slots than ever before and we don’t have to put bags in to make more space.

And also, having tabs makes it easier to organize stuff.

Seriously this. It’s updated regularly.

And if you bought all these slots now, it would have cost you more. We get a lot more space now than we did before. And for all your toons, you got it for cheaper then if you buy it from today. That’s a lot of gold saved.

I hate the sort order thing. Previously it prioritized putting important stuff in the back of your bags (bag slot 5 moving forward) and non important stuff in your backpack (main bag you start game with). The new system has “fixed” this so that it prioritizes important stuff in the backpack. I hate this, i want the old one back because already i have sold stuff without meaning to, and i am never going to get used to this because i actively dislike it.

Blizzard are the ones breaking things, not the addon Devs. As an addon Dev I can guarantee this is all their fault based on new features rolling out or them changing existing functionality. They are constantly refactoring their API classes which is like 70% of the time what breaks addons. They also like to deprecate common endpoints, or just randomly rename them for no reason. The rest is usually due to new content they roll out breaking the functionality of the existing addon. Look up the 11.2 wow API change log if you really want to see what all Blizzard changed that broke all of the addons.

Yeah, man. It’s their game. They’re allowed to make all the changes they want. If the addons become incompatible that’s not blizz’s problem.
