Talent is just an overall 5% loss. On top of that, you sacrifice survivability and it no longers help you in parsing on logs like before.
There’s some fundamental issues with LotM:
- Overhealing also creates absorbs
- Absorbs do not have cap, which means you can get a DT to drain half of your HP and kill yourself in a high burst AOE damage event.
- Even if those two points were fixed, Holy Shock has been nerfed by about 24% since Beta, meaning the talent its less attractive the weaker HS is.
- It’s just an overall healing loss for 2 points, if it was a 5%-10% overall healing buff, the story would be different, since it would be a high risk/ high reward ability.
On another note: this is of course nitpicking, but I would have rather have Dawnlight healing not being increased in next reset by 30% and make up that difference in Holy Shock buffs instead to buff our capability to spot heal effectively.
I really want this talent to become viable in some way, since its pretty unique relative to Hpal and thematic, and no other healer as a similar mechanic currently.
