Can you do something about the absolute state of rogue gameplay now? No, big numbers alone does not mean a class is engaging or fun.
MM is getting pets as an option back simple fact. Use them or not it’s a talent that you choose.
Now everyone should start focusing on all these issues that have been brought up, yet are buried by the petless topic.
Dear Devs, would you at least consider reworking survival hunter to be the first mail-armor based tank? This would solve several problems currently in regard to m+, lore and overall gameplay.
1.) more tanks available (especially since players will want to explore a new class and gameplay.
2.) The name fits: Survival. Which is the tanks number one job in their role.
3.) New armor type for tank - mail.
4.) New role options for pure dps spec. You can’t find a tank as a BM or MM? Now you can start your own group; tank in keys and dps in raid, since most guilds have 2 dedicated tanks.
5. New style of abilities: pet for defensive or builder. Traps for mitigation or CC. Maybe focused more of evasion than tanks that plant and block.

I don’t think there are any PvP talents that need to be messed with on the marks tree. It does suck that the eagle doesn’t give you freedom or sac while you’re cc’ed and I hope that it doesn’t become a choice between use of those in cc with the pet talent vs not. Fix needs to be making the eagle versions work the same and also removing the damage penalty from sac.
Marks’ mortal wounds also needs to be addressed since it’s going to fall off more often than others. You could make it like a slaughterhouse effect where there’s built in downtime on the debuff but it stacks slightly higher than others before falling off. Or you could just make more things apply it so that it doesn’t fall off significantly more often than pet applied Ms.

Dumb move to revert this, the changes made to MM were smart and welcome, it was a minority of RP whiners crying about this change.
Berserk for Feral has the same issue. You need to spend something like 10 points to make it almost as good as it was even two expansions ago; Counting the “Filler” points.
MM has lost no function in this change.
Don’t underestimate the power of having the pet loot for you in group content. I almost always pull mine out during trash.
My concerns were mostly that the pet would be too beneficial to pass up in solo content. Threat reduction is key especially in delves.
They are not reverting on anything. All the changes Blizzard as advertised are still happening.
You can still play pet-less MM as it will be the optimal way to play MM. The only thing they add was if you want to waste a talent point on using a pet for suboptimal play you can now.
Suddenly, MM has pets again, and now Blizzard is just going to go full stop and throw out all they have been working on.
This thread is still being hijacked for non-sense rather than actual feedback so:
-Trueshot is still extremely weak and needs help
-Aimed Shot still feels terrible because streamline having RNG factors as well as waiting game makes things very rigid and not smooth or “iconic” at all.
-Lock and Load is currently proccing an average of once every 1.5-2 minutes. That is just absurd.
-The spec overall is way too RNG heavy and way too sluggish.
-The amount of Haste that will be required to attempt to make things less rigid is going to be way too much than we can get next patch.
It really means a lot that you guys decided to do this. I felt so frustrated and hopeless when this all came out. Please pass on my thanks from the bottom of my heart and a thank you for your part in it as well.
Spec has too much focus, and not enough aimed shots to spend it on.
Don’t think anything is going to be ‘thrown out’. The rework can go forward, since there was little to justify removing pets to make it work in the first place.
Yes, would expect the topic to change, but now it’s about how giving pet as an option is a terrible change.
Funniest part is for a spec that has such little focus on pets it’s all that players can focus on.
This. In any case where an animal is summoned I’d really prefer to have my pets be the ones summoned. I really dislike having random animals show up and where able I never take talents that do that. I want my pets to be the ones pulled in.
