I’m leaning towards survival sentinel with my mechagnome hunter now as well. The owl being gone certainly helps. And the arcane stuff I guess works, given the gnome heritage as a titan race. We already had the lore with Titanstrike as a hunter weapon. So it could work. And I get to just keep bopping around with his little robo pup.
can we get a rp ability that allows our eagel to stand on our arm? that would actually be a really neat addition to the rework
You can also handwave the shield and the laser as technology, it works well for a mechagnome.
I’ve got a way better idea that involves us keeping our original pets. Why settle for some lame bird that just showed up when you can have your loyal companion by your side?
What are everyone else’s thoughts on Lock and Load proc’s? I spent up to five minutes on a target dummy at two different times and Details indicates at or less than a 3% uptime.
I’m using an all-around build (see below) while testing. It is not optimal, but does ‘feel’ alright. I’m testing Obsidian Arrow/On Target with the Tier-set. I didn’t notice the haste buff from On Target but details indicated a marked increase in damage with On Target with the tier-set than with Obsidian Arrow (970m / 1.26b overall damage). This is subjective as the On Target dummy fight was about 45 seconds longer. Both instances had near 50% critical hits for all major spendor’s which was very nice.
True Shot is still very slow without Tensile Bowstring’s Streamline buff functioning. I believe I only got maybe four Aimed Shot’s in the window. It may have been from trying to stack Streamline which felt slow.
I would like to avoid using No Scope as the added usage of Arcane/Multi-Shot after every Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire is just tedious. However, there isn’t enough talent points to work around it and still get to Improved Streamline.

i didnt post feedback here to have a conversation. i want the bird, i want it to stand on my arm like a falcon owner.
i wont bury my feedback or the feedback of others by engaging in another 9612718271872 reply long tangent on pet vs petless rethoric where the only reasoning to keep a pet is just rp
leave your own feedback and leave other peoples feedbacks alone
Sure, you can have the eagle stand on your arm, if you go BM or survival, one of the specs where the pet is going to be visible anyway.
Keep in mind, Blizzard seems to like t monkey paw requests like your, and what I posted is just one example. and this is one time that they might feel that a visual pet that does what you are asking fits more with the “pet specs” then with Marksman for who knows what reason.
Pets are fun.
Lock and Load needs to go.
It’s been a lackluster, RNG talent for years and years now.
For some reason they really want us to use it.
Honestly, even if it was a 15% chance to proc, I still wouldn’t want to use it.
Dislike RNG procs personally.
you could have one, the option to tame one always existed.
To bad the PTR eagle dont do that, compared to live that some birds can do tricks, oh well, not like you care about this or fantasy of the class, we know you dont.
You are the one to talk this? cute
If it only shows up in combat how is that going to work?
again, i am not here to have a convo spamming multiple replies, especially from people i know who are gonna argue in bad faith. keep it to yourself or post your own feedback
its a rp ability, like how paladins have the ability to kneel and pray and eyes of the beast for hunter
you press it and your bird lands on your arm while out of combat
If you want RP options, the pets we have now are right there.
feels way too infrequent atm.
also feels like rapid fire, aimed, and explosive cd’s are too long sometimes. awkward moments where you can only steady and arcane shot and rapid/explosive are both 15+ sec still.
Hard disagree. Free instant nuke is always a satisfying button press. Needs a buff though.
no, i want the new bird to land on my arm while im out of combat. its a fun flavor that i feel like would fit the new direction of mm. if i want pets, i swap to bm or surv and still enjoy hunter with a pet
You were saying people should just switch to BM, you are by definition, arguing in bad faith since the start
they don’t, their previous arguments were refuted to oblivion, so now they are trying to use the “RP card” that he clearly dont care about in a way to shield themselves, basically trying to use “our arguments” against us
Hypocrisy as it finest.
I’d rather have a consistent talent.
I did find that Spotter’s Mark had 31-33% uptime which is exactly how the tooltip reads. Of course, due to RNG, the bonus happened to line up with a few Streamline-buffed Aimed Shots. For something that is to become more of a signature of the eagle companion, you really just fire and forget about it.
I did note that during the rotation, my character would cry out audibly similar to when Bestial Wrath is activated for BM. I’m not sure if this was signaling that Spotter’s Mark was active or what. Maybe someone else could have some input.
Why would you want an RP ability for some random bird? Having more interactions with our actual pets would be much better. And this eagle isn’t our pet. It has no ties with us, it just shows up randomly.
You say you’d switch to a different spec if you want pets, but your suggestion is wanting to show off your “pet”. Except it’s not your pet. It’s some random bird that decided to show up one day.
