The issue with what you suggest is that MM damage and skillset would still need to be design with a pet.

We’ve taken some initial steps to ensure that this talent doesn’t dramatically increase the throughput of spells like Call of the Wild and we’ll be making changes as necessary if issues arise.

If Blizzard can do this for BM, there is zero reason they can’t do this for MM:
