First, i will start by saying that this is an incredibly fun talent, i love the visuals, the effect is great and the extra functionality on kegsmash as a reactivatable button is wonderful
now, that said, this talent needs some adjusting. the extremely long range, seeming preference for targets at maximum range, and rapid unpredictable automatic targeting means this action, if pressed, will often pull random groups of mobs from half the dungeon away you weren’t intending to fight or werent anywhere near
let me be clear, i love this talent. i want it to stay, its fun, its cool, and its effective when it works on something im already fighting, but as often as not this has proven to be a sort of suicide button as the kegs leeroy jenkins half the dungeon you werent ready to pull.

Yeah, empty the cellar is a talent you spec out of until they fix the bugs with it. Really fun otherwise.
Unfortunately, it’s really quite bad at the moment. It’s basically guaranteed to pull extra unintended mobs as long as they are in sight — not something you want in any class’s talent much less a tank one. The whole idea of tanks is that they are control of threat and what gets aggroed. This talent, as it stands, is the complete opposite. You have no control over what it targets and where those extra barrels go. They will even target critters over what you’re actually fighting. Actively avoid this talent until they fix it.
It’s been broken since the beginning of alpha, no idea how they haven’t fixed this yet.
Its part of the class fantasy at this point. Nimble brew as broken for almost 3 expansions before they gave up and changed it completely. Clash was “fun” and it stayed for 2 entire expansions.
they could just add a line that it only tosses the projectiles towards targets that have your keg smash soaked or fire breath dot debuff on them, or use the same targeting coding they use for starfall on balance druids which seems to do okay avoiding things you arent in combat with.
idk, but it IS a fun button to push, every minute you get to double tap your exploding keg, your guy does a goofy flurry of kegs animation, and it grants you a bunch of brew, there’s some really great functionality there and i would hate to see it go or get replaced with some other boring passive, they just need to solve the targeting issue.
I think Exploding Keg already has some sort of debuff tied to it since it causes enemies hit to do less damage for a period of time. Maybe they could just extend that debuff out and code Empty the Cellar to only hit mobs with the Exploding Keg debuff?
Either way, I agree, Empty the cellar is a very fun talent coded poorly. Absolutely unacceptable and unplayable in its current state.
