Just wanted to add a piece of feedback regarding how M+ interacts with some dungeon quests, callings and M+.
The campaign quest “The Spires of Ascension” does not give credit if you run the dungeon in M+. Similarly, callings like “A Call to Maldraxxus” do not give credit for M+ dungeons completed even though the quest text says that we can defeat powerful foes in Plaguefall or Theater of Pain dungeons.
Interestingly, you CAN meet quest objectives for quests like “Challenges in Revendreth” (complete the Sanguine Depths Dungeon or the Halls of Atonement Dungeon) in M+.
It would be great if M+ would count for all these types of quests instead of just certain ones.
i really think M+ is not questing grounds. it’s like completing a holiday event in the Arena…
My relevant callings have been completed in m+.
I don’t know. I can see how quests that require you to find something, kill an extra mob, or whatever wouldn’t be allowed in M+ since that’s actively working against the group’s completion time. Quests that are literally just “go do this dungeon,” probably ought to be completable in M+. In Shadowlands, this seems to already be the case for the most part. I haven’t run into the OP’s problem yet anyway.
Interestingly, completing an M +7 De Other Side completed Challenges in Ardenweald today and gave 50% of A Call to Ardenweald so that’s an improvement at least
