FEEDBACK - Demo Issues so far

1) Out of combat regen is much too high - game thinks we are sitting down

Sitting down isn't increasing HP regen at all, when it is supposed to have a large effect. I think OOC regen is so high because it's behaving as if we are always sitting down.

2) Weapon skill not working properly
Low weapon skill is translating into a massive damage penalty when it should not. It's like fighting with Rez Sickness.
I think the issue is Glancing Blows are sometimes reducing the damage done by white attack by 70% or more. This is not the correct behavior.
The correct behavior is that low weapon skill leads to more misses, dodges, and parries, but when you hit you hit for normal or close to normal, not near 0.

3) Damage spells are critting for 2x instead of 1.5x
1.5x should be the base for spell crits, improved to 2x only by talents like Ruin.
I crit for 2x with Smite, Lightning Bolt, Immolate, and even Judgement.

4) Strange sound effect behavior
Hecklefang Hyenas aren't making any sound when they attack sometimes. I've noticed this only seems to happen when the player is running away from them.
Also ranged attacks (like bows and thrown) make a loud sound when they connect, almost like a melee attack. Definitely not vanilla behavior.

5) Find Minerals applies a buff instead of a tracking icon
Not correct

6) Bloodrage is not putting Warriors in combat
Not correct

7) Can't duel someone who is in combat
Not correct

8) Autoattacking mobs that are behind you
I am able to autoattack mobs while running in a straight line away from them.
The mob runs faster than I do so it's catching up to me and my autoattack is going off when our hit boxes overlap. This behavior never occurred in Vanilla. It makes killing while moving more efficient and very silly.

9) Heroic Strike is requiring you to be facing the target
Not correct. I should be able to queue Heroic Strike no matter which way I am facing.

10) Ranged attacks can be dodged

11) Can't buff someone who is PvP flagged without flagging yourself first
Absolutely not vanilla. I should be able to flag myself by buffing someone who is flagged. If one moron in a 40 man raid decides to flag himself the flagging should be contagious and spread to his entire raid.

12) Loot settlement text after rolling refers to "main spec"

13) DPS on weapons goes to hundredths place instead of only tenths place

Possible issues:
1) Green droprate too high
Several people have said this and I experienced it as well, but remains inconclusive. It appears that greens drop too frequently though.

2) XP from mobs is rounded instead of truncated
Level 16 killing a level 18 should award 137 XP if XP is truncated, which it was believed to be.
Demo currently gives 138 XP which would be the correct value if XP is rounded. Perhaps this is the correct Vanilla behavior and the community has been wrong all these years, or perhaps this is an oversight and thus a very slight XP buff.

3) Lost Barrens Kodo came to the defense of a Zhevra Runner
Pretty sure these mobs should not be social with each other. Maybe the Kodos are social with other Kodos but should not be social with a zebra.

4) Animation changes
Not sure if this is a bug or intended. Pretty sure Smite has a new animation for example and people are reporting others.

5) Health regen disabled in Fatigue
Not vanilla but may be intentional

General gripes I have are with the nameplates, which display from very far away and do not display mob names unless you have mob names permanently displayed.

Also I would like to see the original Vanilla damage text over mobs' heads. Crits, white hits etc should be displayed as they were in Vanilla. White hits especially should not receive the diminished treatment they get with the modern WoW damage text system. White hits are extremely important in Vanilla so the modern system does not work for them.
I don't have the demo and I'm at work right now, can you tell me if the nameplates are the classic plates or the new ones we got in legion?

They are in between. They have the functionality of Legion nameplates but are styled to look like Vanilla nameplates, except for the issues I listed above.
Uhm find minerals adding a buff is correct unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

Also, wasn't OoC regen always higher from 1-20?

Find Minerals is supposed to have "Tracking" functionality like Sense Demons, Track Humanoids etc. Currently it just applies a buff.

To be fair OoC Regen from 1-20 was insane simply due to the fact you had less mana.

I was testing a Warrior so I meant health regen. I didn't need to eat and I didn't even need to sit. I regen'd almost to full just walking from mob to mob.

Can you track minerals and herbs at the same time? In Vanilla I don't think you could.
I've been watching Alexensual, and the mobs just seem too weak. A level 13 mob has barely broken Power Word: Shield on a level 15 priest...

Correct, in Vanilla this was not possible. I'll test when I'm allowed back on in 20 min.
Health and mana regen do seem really high. Especially mana. I was killing elite raptors with a group, went oom, ran in a circle for a while and was at half mana.
I wonder if the mobs are weaker on the demo because of the gear we started with...

Try switching to a new weapon and leveling up weapon skill if you want a real challenge, lol. It's like fighting with low weapon skill in Vanilla + having Rez Sickness at the same time.
It overall feels like WOTLK to me.

You gain a lot of XP for just killing random stuff. Quests give a lot as well and since the mobs do so low damage and you regen to 100% within a second, there is hardly any downtime.

Pet´s don´t seem to need much food either, you can fight three mobs as Hunter easily, without breaking a sweat.

I did expect that, I knew they wouldn´t roll with a WOW of 2004.

Don't worry, they will fix OOC regen. I'm 100% convinced it was just an oversight.

As for XP, actually the values for both quests and mobs are correct. I tested them. It might seem that grinding is fast because we start with Rested bonus.

Man I was sure the demo was going to put all my fears to rest but it's quite the opposite. The crazy fast health regen, mobs are hitting like noodles, green drop rates seem too high. I only had to eat once on my warrior and that's after I accidentally pulled 3 mobs. I realize this is just a demo and early development but this is worse than a stock mangos private server right now :(
is there phasing
Quest text does not scroll in line by line. It fades in quickly all at once, which looks practically the same as instant quest text. Only difference is the quick fade.
Was watching this live stream ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjWpCuvElbc ) and a green "of the tiger" item dropped and it appeared to have wrong stats. It had +Agi and +Crit when I think it should be +Agi and +Str.
