Feedback: Delves in Season 2

That’s very spec specific. For many casters, the ritual knife, candlestick and/or confidant are competitive to everything other than Spymasters at equal ilvl.

Markman doesn’t need saving. You can do a tier 11 deathless with a healer brann and lone wolf already.

Absolutely vile. Let the solo players gear up through solo play at a decent pace instead of forcing them into a mode they’re not interested in.

If m+ participation is an issue look at your changes to m+ difficulty and tanks. You are the cause in that drop.

Health increase powers were nice they seem to be more permanent now like torghast unless I missed something. I gained a ton of hp until I dc’d.

The pacing will be fine. The buff to runed crests is far more significant. By the time we’re geared enough to solo t11s, we’ll have unlocked crest conversion. Being able to efficiently cap runed crests and convert will give a total of 48 gilded per week (51 including the map). That’ll be enough for 2 myth crafts every 3 weeks. When they uncap crests halfway through the season the only limit on myth crafted gear will be sparks.

Delves aren’t a competitive mode so I don’t know why everyone is in such a hurry. We aren’t competing against other players for spots in raids or m+ pugs. We can play when we want so we can afford to take our time and actually enjoy the process. The fact that they are allowing solo players to slowly gear well into the myth ilvl and people still complain is ridiculous.

Because gearing should change with the times. It shouldn’t be limited to two modes that aren’t as popular as they were in the past.

There is absolutely zero reason solo players shouldn’t be able to cap their crests each week through solo activities only.

The argument that “this would force raiders and m+ players to do delves that they don’t want to” is thrown around to fight this and is incredibly disingenuous.

When selecting a bountiful delve tier 4 or above, the UI says “You will receive:” a Bountiful Coffer, Companion Experience, Expeditionary Spoils, and a Delver’s Bounty.

In my opinion, it’s a bit misleading for it to say “you will receive” and not have the Delver’s Bounty map actually drop.

I think the map should be a guaranteed drop from your first bountiful delve of the week. This would encourage players to at least do 2 delve runs, one for the map, and one to use the map to get the bonus chest. This would also align with the 2 delves necessary to get the first vault slot.

I agree. Not to mention, they sold us the Delves as an “end pillar” for people that cannot devote as much time OR simply perhaps do not enjoy the ONLY OTHER TWO MODES of high level gearing; raids or M+.

There is absolutely ZERO REASON why we cannot have three varying ways of gearing up to Myth tier level gear. NONE.

Please fix these bugs in delves for S2:

Get-away-bot: move the bot further away from the treasure chests, because it happens too often to miss click the bot when wanting to open a chest. Alternatively add a confirmation dialog to use the bot.

Brann ninja pulls: fix that Brann sometimes randomly pulls mobs

Brann herbing/mining: fix that Brann starts gathering during combat, when he is expected to do dps or heal. He should do that only while not in fight

Brann heal potions: fix that Brann throws healing potions into void zones and prevent that he throws them at all, if player HP is over 90%. Brann healing should be more agnostic about the player current health

When idle Brann should stand farther away, because he likes to stand in the way and blocks looting items. Perhaps also make his hitbox smaller.

Also the stupid Brann should stop blaming the player to stand in crap when he does this himself. In fungal delves I see Brann having the spore debuff 50% of the time because he is too lazy to move (mainly when I use spores to lure other mobs into traps to bomb them with spores).

You can craft items that are 3 ilvls less then max myth tier, which is grindable from 9-10s half way into the tier when they uncap crests. You also get 51 a week from the conversions.

Mhm. And what else do you want to do with crafting?!? That’s the ONLY THING they have.

Crafters are one player type. Solo gamers are another player type. Group gamers are another player type. Raiding gamers are another player type.

Every single one of these play styles should have viable end game pillars and right now only 3/4 do. Giving solo players a viable way to get Myth isn’t going to hurt either of the other 3 play styles.

Speaking of crafting… we need to give them more attainable epic-level BOE’s to sell. The dependence on tips is too little for the exuberant amount of hours and money it takes to level up a craft to a point that they can offer services for just TIPS! Ridiculous! But that’s a whole other topic.

Crafting isn’t a pillar it’s there to support them so he’s right. With Gilded dropping from Delves a solo player can craft that gear in 11.1.

Question about delve seasons:

The original announcement for delves at https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/24025828/world-of-warcraft-deep-dive-panel-recap promised a new delve companion for each season:

Season One will include the NPC companion, Brann Bronzebeard. These companions will level up as they journey with you and can be customized to be a compliment to your character, whether you need them to do more damage or heal a bit for you.

“These companions” - plural

Why do we stick with Brann now and don’t get a new one for S2?

Because blizzard thought that lvling another npc wouldn’t be a good idea :thinking: and i can see the point but depending on who blizzard was going to use.

Just checked my stats. Apparently I’ve been averaging a little over 2 maps per week on my main, so this would cut the number of maps I’m getting in half. To be fair, they tend to come in waves: nothing for days, then 2 - 3 all together. My alt is yet to see one.

Maybe guarantee one per week, and have a lower chance to get more from Bountiful Delves? There are only so many to do per day.

I got three Delver’s Bounty Maps in 4 runs of BT8s in one day. So it would severely cut that number by a lot.

HONESTLY, all it needs is some tweaking to the drop rate. It should NOT be limited!

Whats the max ilvl an item can drop in season 2 delves

For Season 2, the new gear cap in delve is Champion 3/8 or 642. The Great Vault is Heroic 3/6 or 655.
