Feedback: Breath of Bwonsamdi and Crafting

I wasn’t around for BoD. I have a warrior engineer and a priest jewelcrafter. Both need 220 breath of bwonsamdi to craft the 400 and 415 version of the goggles and rings.

There is no reasonable way for me to catch up with these mats. 1 may drop from each boss from lfr, 1 drops from each boss on normal, 10 drop from each boss on heroic and 20 drop from each boss on mythic.

There are very few groups that run old content right now. Lfr q times are super long (and don’t even net you 5 for a full clear which can take over 6 hours with q times). Mythic seems to be the answer but even if you’re killing 4 bosses a week it’s still three weeks for you to craft just the 415 versions and you have to have an entire two or three hours scheduled to get a group together and do the content.

You’ve got to let us sell these on the market. Transfer them between players. Work expulsion into old raid mats, something.

I don’t mean to insult anyone at blizzard but you have one of the least friendly crafting systems I’ve ever seen in an mmo. Having to craft greens and scrap them is an insane way to get mats for crafting. Having to mill herbs—>pigments—>inks—> your final product is a huge waste of time. Tailor, leatherowrking, jewelcrafting and blacksmithing are basically useless outside of one piece of armor (and for anyone else interested in going down that road it takes 220 breath of bwonsamdi farmed from BoD to craft the 450 version).

I know that time syncs are important to your business model but it’s nonesense to force people back into old content to catch up to current content. Even if you think it makes sense to force people into old content… 220 breath of bwonsamdi? How about we kill jaina once on any difficulty and she drops a crafting recipe that let us make the breath of bwonsamdi?

Or, the engineering helm and jc ring recipe should be purchasable from your trainer. It should not be learned when you craft the last one.

Or, everything that drops from a boss should be tradable, at least BoA, except actual gear.

Or, you could have a vendor set up to convert mats to other mats.

Pick one and put it in the game please.

Bwonsamdi gear is old now. You should be focusing on the Nazjatar recipes if you want to craft BoP items. Or wait a couple weeks and even higher ilvl BoP items are coming with 8.3.

You understand that to craft the 450 helm and ring you have to craft the 385, 400, 415 and 425 versions correct?

Just to learn the recipes. For you to craft the 400 and 415 it requires a total of 220 BoB. So you’ve grinding out old content to get caught up just so you can craft the current stuff.

That is not how it works. Each tier is a triple. It isn’t one big chain. You can go to Nazjatar and learn the 415 from the trainer, which only requires Naz mats and Explusom. Making one of those will teach you the 430 and then the 445.

In 8.3 (less than two weeks away) they are adding another tier that will start at 445 (recipe dropped in new raid I believe) and then progress to 460 and 475.
