Feedback - Boosting limit, Xrealm, Prepatch thoughts

I was pessimistic of TBC at first. Adamant Id play on classic era only. Seems like that game is pretty much dead. Truth is that I wasnt doing anything in it except smacking naxx once a week. The opening of the honor system game me incentive to play the heck out of TBC. It actually made me excited.

What I like so far:

  • The ease of honor before the patch; it gives me something to do and its fun grabbing some cool looking Grand Marshal gear. Fix
  • the cross realm thing opened up the game so I can play with my friends and not have my server I choose limit the login queue on TBC opening day. THIS IS AWESOME. And if I have long standing opposite faction toons I can play with my friends who are just starting theirs.
  • 5 man UBRS is a blessing
  • the boost allowed me to try a new character and give me time to try the game as a DPS instead of a healer; its refreshing to play the relevant content without gold mysteriously showing up in my inbox and having to pay the person who sent me it for ZG and Mara boosts
  • the store mount actually looks insanely fun. Probably the best looking mount in the game.
  • the meeting stones are AWESOME. forgot this got added in TBC. Its made leveling genuinely fun to play.

What I want to see:

  • Take off the boost cap - Ill buy more character boosts for a warrior and experience the game from a few different perspectives. Drop the price by like $10.
  • Fix the honor to pre nerf and let people have fun these last two weeks
  • Add a wow token so we can just go-to-direct for buying gold instead of pretending we’re all holyer than now
  • add cross realm server phasing so I can actually interact with people instead of playing on a dead empty server. For all the gate keeping about social interaction this one is probably the funniest because it ironically works against players asking to deny this feature.
  • Drop in the LFG system from WoTLK MENU not the teleport system from it. Keeps chat from being suckish.
  • Drop in a menu for boosting if its going to stay.
  • In TBC, after adding the ability to buy boosts, implement a +5 -5 party level requirement for entering dungeons with a party. IE eliminate boosting others in dungeons. In a time where you are already fixing the issue, just fix the integrity of this boosting junk

The gate keeping in this game that I’ve seen is both funny and debilitating. Telling others how they have to play or why they can’t play is shameful. I’ve done every raid on multiple characters and played for years. The circle jerk gate keeping around MTX is the same people that complain about integrity but won’t support the dungeon party level requirements, to fix the boosting, because they are the ones selling it.

Its silly; just let the kids play man.

Oh man, I think I know what you were doing with this post. These boards have been a nerd-riot for days. You are about to have some admirers.

Im sure. Is what it is though.

Its like to what end do they need to moan? Its not like anything different happens when they complain about change; if anything they just buy it when it comes out. Lul.

Cross-Realm shouldn’t actually be a thing btw. It’s a bug

Thats dumb; just let it stay.

No, that would not be considered Classic in anyway.

like I said its counter intuitive to argue against this. It helps make the game more social. Its hilarious a bunch of sweaty nerds would yeet this feature out of existence.

It’s not counter intuitive. It’s the way the game was played in Vanilla and TBC. Thus it is part of the Classic identity.

It’s not about being sweaty, it’s about keeping the games original feel and experience. If you want it so badly, go to retail.

I dont think we have to live inside the confines of 15 year old technology anymore and can play the exact game while still having identity, and if anything a bigger community.

You are correct. You do not have to live inside the confines, you just log off Classic. Or, go to a bigger server with your friends.

Fun doesn’t line up with metrics that blizzard has to hit for retention, so none of that.

I wouldn’t have minded something that makes forming groups easier by the end of classic. LFG is nothing but booster spam and you couldn’t find groups for any mid-range content.

Fixed your statement for you

fixed this as well

fixed this too.

You mad bro? I got my weapon and shoulders lul. FUN DETECTED!

And I see how you ignored the dungeon +5/-5 level cap for group. If you’re going to be an obstacle can you admit to that being a good idea then? Cant bark about integrity if your bites weak.

Thats all Im saying, is just fitting systems to help make QoL go up.

Put in a bill board in every major capital city that has groups LFG’ing posted for raids and stuff. Could be good for guild recruitment too and actually fits the classic vibe.

hey. Get wrekked btw theyre doubling honor rest of prepatch now LOLOLOL hahahaha

TY blizzard for hearing my ask.

Admitting to buying gold on the blizzard forums? You are a bright one aren’t you. Blizzard has a game that would be right up your alley, it’s called retail

Crossrealm makes the game anti social, not social.

If you like crossrealm, you can just play TBC content in retail. Its the absolute same stuff, just some different talent system. Quests are the same, raids are, professions are.

Not even gonna bother other than; people agree differently pretty much to each and every suggestion.
Also i personally would rather sit and spam in a LFG channel all day rather than having a queue do it for me.

IIRC the summoning stones had a extremely similar function to this.
