give bears +50% health minimum. They are the 2nd lowest health tank. They should be the highest by an enormous amount.
This analysis has been done ad nauseam by all the best tanks in the world.
-
Several talents need to be combined. Bear talent choices are unnecessarily punitive.
-
Bears need armor to have some effect on magic damage, or have their passive healing and HP buffed.
-
CDR on major defensives, or a second charge on minor ones
-
Raze shouldn’t lose damage in single target.
-
UFR needs to be buffed to account for the healer nerf to HP.
-
Add Iron Fur to Matted Fur talent
-
Move defensive cooldowns to center section.
-
Add a few connections in class trees to eliminate dead talents.
-
Undo Ursine Adept nerf from zero week. Baffling change.
-
Add SL tier 2pc to talent tree to shore up pull starts.
-
Let ToI scale with number of mobs hit.
I disagree that it’s good enough that some classes are expected to abandon the characters they enjoy playing and reroll, or dramatically lower their expectations. And seriously, the meta can change at any time, so are you ready to abandon your main this month, and again 2 months from now when rebalancing hits you hard?
I’ll probably never stop trying to get good at preservation evoker. I like the way the spells flow together. If I was to play anything else it would be disc priest. I don’t play classes because they are strong, I play them because they have compelling gameplay flow.
Bear definitely does not need more damage.
Warrior is definitely not on the same level as druids, not as easy either so if you are struggling on your warrior like I do, it’s a skill issue. But monks, you can argue all you want about which is worse, monk is a nightmare to play compared to druids.
Are you always this ignorant or do you just like being obtuse?
I think it is silly when players under 2.9k want to talk meta, meta, meta as if it is applicable to them.
The fact of the matter is that there are hundreds of guardians clearing higher keys than everyone in this topic.
And the one guy who kept doubling down on how guardian is “soooo bad” hasn’t even played it to 2500, of which there are over 2000 who have done so. It is clearly a skill issue
Got it. It was the latter.
The skill issue? Yeah, absolutely
20s are not high keys
They’re also timing 26s just fine
I see 3 druids in the top 200 raider io tanks. By far the least represented. Poor bastards.
no, not just fine. that requires group playing around tank weaknesses, not even a question of individual tank player skills. for example, ice cutter mobs pulls in AV druid simply just doesn’t have buttons to mitigate all that dmg themselves.
yes, you can tank high keys, however, the point of this thread is significant disparity between guardian and other tanks. its not a question of meta, guardian is objectively handling magic dmg much worse than any other tank spec.
stop being so blatantly ignorant, my friend.
Well, the druids in here complaining about Guardian not being viable are all under 3k.
So they don’t do high keys, and their positions are invalid as a result of it. The fact of the matter is, Guardian is performing perfectly fine in 2-25.
Do you play guardian? Do you have any actual experience tanking on a druid vs. literally any other tank?
My guess is no
in other words, you’re just spouting “facts” that you pull out of your behind. The actual fact is, that it is considerably more difficult to do on a druid what you can do on a warrior. There’s a reason in the top 200 raider io tanks, there are only three druids.
so, sure, you can point at those three druids and be all “hurrrrr see it’s possible” but the rest of us are going to roll our eyes at you.
They’re just trolling. No one can be that clueless naturally.
I like the sound of that. GCD from Frenzy too.
that is a terrible stretch to claim they are perfectly fine in 25 key range. they are fine in 20-22, yes, assuming current gear levels
They’re not fine at any key level, honestly. At every level, they are the worst tank.
Now, people like that who never do anything hard and wait till week 12 to do keys they out gear can call it “fine” and if you never do anything competitive it’s “fine”. It’s “fine” to try a 4 cyl automatic if you never need to go fast, too. It’s “fine” to work a 9-5 for average wages if you never want to do better. It’s “fine” to settle for your safety school because they got back to you first.
But for anyone with an ounce of competitive spirit, it’s not “fine”. Bears are objectively the worst tanks in all scenarios. Trying to say it doesn’t matter to them is one thing, to say it doesn’t matter at all is just being stupidly caustic for no reason.
Well, I’m sure there is a reason, but that’s for a therapist to ascertain
