Feature Request: Add 2 optional "Mount" slots to our transmog presets

In recent years we’ve seen a far more conscious effort from Blizz to make certain Mounts that are specifically designed to match certain sets.

A few off the top of my head:

  • Trading Post Warden Set & Harbinger Dawn Tiger
  • Trading Post Darkmoon Harlqeuin Set & Newly Datamined Matching Horse
  • Plunderstorm Pirate Set & Parrot (and Crocolisk) mount
  • Eternal Traveller Set & Ensorcelled Everwyrm
  • Celestial Observer Set & Startouched Furline

So it begs the question why there aren’t dedicated mount slots if there is clear intent to make sets and mounts that match. Now of course, those listed examples don’t even include the literal endless unofficial combinations of transmog sets & mounts that many creative players make every day too.

The system would work like this:

  • When interacting with a transmog NPC, in the corner next to your weapons, there would be 2 slots. A flying mount slot, and a ground mount slot.
  • You can save any mount to those slots for free, no gold cost unlike armour pieces.
  • For as long as you have that exact transmog set applied to all armour pieces, “Summon Random Favourite Mount” will default to the options in those 2 slots.
  • If you’re in a zone where flying is disabled, it uses the ground mount slot option.
  • If the ground mount slot is empty, it just uses the flying mount slot’s choice.
  • If you don’t like any of this, you just don’t put any mounts into the slots if you prefer manual selection or total mount RNG
  • Individual Dragonriding/Delver Dirigible presets appear as unique list options when selecting mounts for the slots
  • There would be a checkbox above the aforementioned 2 slots that says “Prioritize D.R.I.V.E mount” which would have the cars overwrite the ground mount choice in the applicable zones.

Everyone’s transmog games would level up ten-fold with a change like this!
