Fearing Women Doesn't Increase Your I-Level

The difference is that for us, one instance of misconduct indicts all of us. That’s what bias does: it takes away your right to be an individual. Straight person misbehaves = sanction the individual. LGBTQ person misbehaves = ban LGBTQ people. That’s what is happening, in practice, everywhere that regressives have power.

And if it mentally breaks you while a teen, well, pull yourself up by your bootstraps or something right?

This is your perception and not mine. I don’t have to agree with it.

The rampant sexism (and Racism) running rampant here since last Thursday has been a new level of horribleness

The people making these posts certainly dont value how any of those women would feel to begin with.

I don’t like Faerin much and last I checked, I’m female and have been since 1981 at birth.

I’m not “afraid” of women in video games. I just don’t like how they’re written.

As if every woman thinks the same LMAO.

Yes. It was so much simpler when people just sat down and kept their mouths shut when it came to bigotry and misogyny. The gall!

Wow leave for an hour and come back and what the hell happened in this thread, good lord.

No, not even a little. Not at all. I see where you are coming from, and young adults should always have someone to talk to, somewhere to go. And while sometimes that might be a teacher in their life (rather than, unfortunately, a parent), the US school systems are not in a good supportive place for this.

This is different than preaching to very young children in the classroom, though, which is more what I was referring to.

Which comes full circle I guess to what we expect from our teachers, what sort of conduct is an isn’t “acceptable”. Difficult thing to gauge with so many people with different opinions.

It really is a fine line. On one hand of course my kids should be able to talk to their teacher openly and have a good working relationship with them, but more private matters should be handled outside of school in a healthy way… Right?

But it is true, I’m not sure what my personal response is to kids/teens/etc. having crisis and not able to turn to home. That’s an awful situation I’d not wish upon anyone. Where should they go if not a parent or teacher?

Yeah my wife agrees with me on everything I’ve said about Faerin so when people are like “You should have to read these posts to your wife!” I’m like “She pre-approved them all, so…”

Holy hell, I’ve never had to mute a forum thread before this one… achievement unlocked. Lol you guys enjoy your discussion :stuck_out_tongue:

Weird take. I never said they did. I’m well aware I dont think the same as other women and vice versa. That’s life, it’s not even gender specific.

Why does an elementary teacher need to talk to kids ages 4-11 about gender identity?

DEI is the new phrase for tokenism. Which is racist and sexist on its own. Adding “minorities” (globally darker skinned and women are not the minority as a side note) just because they are is tokenism.

Yea and the only reason they say this is because they have a IRL capaign of “keeping woman in line” and shaming any woman who isnt a left wing feminist as a traitor.

So, as someone who has been playing the game, going to work, and not on the forums as much, what’re we talking about?

If a kid asks, should they be jailed for answering?
