I can’t take it anymore, it’s ridiculous. It was fine at lower levels with a shorter duration when it would break in a reasonable timeframe the majority of the time, and yeah sure maybe once in a while you’d have one that lasted the full duration, fine…but once you get to 56 and it lasts 20 whole seconds it’s absolutely broken and I can’t believe we’re letting Blizzard get away with not doing something about it. I mean here I am trying to grind away mobs and when I pull 2-3 I dot and fear one of them and next thing I know he’s off the screen and resetting. The number of life taps I’ve had to cast to get back that wasted mana is absurd. I can’t believe Blizzard is letting this go unchecked, they really need to fix this.

Uhh. My advice? Play another game. One without fear in it.
Could be how they RNG things this time around, you can have the same values and because of a different method of rng things can behave very differently. I remember fear, sheep and sap all being kinda skectcy in real vanilla and they would break really soon, and it was super rare to get one of these 3 CC to last full duration against a same level mob or player. could be the new game engine they are using, and that the rng is just working against the player base in a bad way. I get some days where I get what seems like endless luck with the rng in a way that almost seems broken and really it is broken, and other days where rng is so very much against me.
I dont ever remember the rng working in such long waves of feast and famine, it all felt a little more evenly distributed before, where you could kinda more or less just intuitively know when your sap was about to break or when your sheep was about to break or so on. Now I can sap a target and it very well may last the full duration even in pvp, and that’s kinda broken, you see the same thing with rng hit and miss on dw classes. some times I just dont miss and it feels strange when I realized I have not missed in a while, and really I dont remember it playing like that at all, like I said before the original vanilla felt a lot more even in that way.
