Canned soups, like chef boyardee and chicken noodle. Plus some crackers/chips and water. Pretty simple but also cost effective! I have turned one of my bookcases into a pantry that I eat from throughout the day.
There’s a few fast food chains around that I will stop at if I want to treat myself.
I walk when I know nothing’s going on, but I generally need my car for running around town during the day. Manager, so there’s always something I need to go do.
They email me a menu every day from a different restaurant on my current project. Some are good, some not so much (but they pay for it so it’s all good). At home my go to is Subway Veggie Delight and pepper jack and extra pickles.
Whatever the hell I feel like preparing. I work from home, have my own kitchen, and like to cook, and don’t have to worry about anyone else’s preferences. Sometimes it’s good to be single.
The veggie delight always seemed really weird to me, like just veggies on bread never sounded good. But I tried it a few weeks ago on extra toasty bread and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s in my rotation now even as a pretty avid carnivore lol.
Green olives, a sharp cheddar of some kind, almonds and some kind of fruit or veggie is usually my lunch anymore lol. My breakfast is usually something with eggs in the morning. That and some green tea, or today, a monster green tea, which is pretty fantastic!
Zucchini noodles/spirals sauteed in butter and various spices.
Add a large can of chicken to that when the zoodles are almost done cooking.
Add your choice of cheese, if desired.
Healthy (very little in the way of carbage) and easy to make.
Togos is good too. Quiznos (at least the one near me) not so much, they literally cannot make a sammich without slathering it with mayo and/or other goopy sauces. And I mean literally since the few time I’ve been there they put it on even after I ask them not too.
