For those of us who remember how the game was 15 years ago, what was your favorite leveling range? What was your least?
On Alliance side:
10-30 was my favorite. The pace was good, quests were fun, and zones were great! I enjoyed the early game dungeons in the 10-20 range too.
30-40 - Hated it. You’re stuck in a zone for a long time, quests aren’t that great for many of them, and lacking a mount really starts to hurt. Scarlet monestary was fun, but it was a pita to get to. I had a lot of rolled characters die at this range.
40-50 - Things get better. I like the zones more like Tanaris and Searing gorge. I love all of the dungeons.
50-60 - Doesn’t matter, you’re almost there. You can start getting ready for end game, and the dungeons are still good.
How about yourself?
59-60 the greatest level ever

Really depends on the zones. I like 20-30 in EK zones, but can’t stand the Kalimdor 20-30 zones.
Yeah, I suppose that’s true Elaice. This was based on my favorite zones I could pick through as I leveled. I tended to like most 10-30 zones as alliance, but disliked almost all of them from 30-40.
I was coming here to say the same thing lol
I feel like 30-40 was my favorite range. That’s when I really started getting into the game and enjoying it. STV was a good memory. SM runs and that epic quest for my 2H axe for that dungeon. Granted it was prior to Mount but there was just something special about that level range and the memory of it. I stayed at 30s for PvP for a awhile. All that SM gear.
Elwyn Forest- westfall - redridge.
Most enjoyable lore.
Horde really sucks for this, everyone goes to crossroads.

Normathord, were you horde back then?
The first ten levels and the last ten levels for me. Like perfecting a take-off and sticking a landing.

Always liked 30-40. Of course hitting 60 was fun but 30-40 was magical for a lot of classes, STV was fun and finally getting a mount at 40 was great.
Prob 55ish - 60 since a lot of the dungeons you do you will be using gear for pre raid/pvp. Leveling while gearing for end game is always good.
40-50. Just got your mount which always feels great. Zones are good and quests are plentiful. I also enjoy the dungeons in this range.
55-60 is my least favorite because I want to be done with it at this point. Zones are also extra limited for me because I don’t enjoy the ones that are red in color
I think the better way to look at it is how much story do you remember. The human zones 1-30 are amazing and i could pretty much summarize whats going on each zone. The cross faction zones although having really good quest stories are lack luster. Stv is like hunter camp (0 story) then booty bay is kinda everywhere.
Human Zones from 1-30 are MMMMMMMUH 10/10 clearly had a lot of love put into them.
30-40 is kinda… All over the place Kalimdor and STV is where you’ll be spending most of your time that and SM.
40-50 is pretty alright mostly cause you get your mount etc.
50-60 Wrapping up in Searing Gorge probably and making your way into the Plaguelands which has some of the best questlines in the game. Personally love the final 10 levels.
50-60
I won’t even quest, just fish, gather, and spam BRD for prebis.
ST and ALL of the quests were amazing.
I liked the SM quests, ambiance and the dungeons themselves, but the trip Ironforge was terrible. Also SFK was amazing. Both of them made the 20-40 leveling range tolerable.
Love the Kalimdor arc of Barrens - 1k Needles - Tanaris/Feralas.
