Healers out there - which is your favorite?

I really enjoyed disc last season, but this season have been enjoying MW and Rsham. Since I mainly pug, the lack of an interrupt is very noticeable.

How about everyone else? Really interested in what everyone enjoys in PvP and m+.

I like Holy Priest. They’re cute. Literal angel half the time. Big numbers as I pop off Serenity after Serenity, or a Holy Fire IV. Feels like a pure healer. I don’t want to do damage to enable my heals. I don’t want to ramp HoTs. I do my little damage rotation and switch my GCDs from damage to whack-a-moleing DPS.

At the start of the season I was all about my rsham and holy priest for some reason. Neat aesthetics, fun enough to play. I couldn’t stand my druid or my monk, likely due to them being my primary mains last season.

Anyways, got the shaman KSH and decided to mess around on my druid for a bit. Well. Turns out I’m doomed to always play a druid. Its very fun, active and capable right now in M+. I pug a fair bit too and the shaman definitely feels nice in PUGS for the most part but nothing really scares me as my druid tbh. The higher I take my holy priest the more I feel its disadvantages compared to disc (ie damage reduction and AoE healing that isnt ground target :face_in_clouds:)

I guess druid and shaman are my favorites overall.

Holy Priest = Rdruid > Disc = Rsham = Pres > MW = Hpal

Maybe don’t listen to me because my least favorites are your favorites lol

I guess I favor the ones that keep us alive in groups? I don’t know. :man_shrugging:

I’ve been enjoying disc again and am happy it’s in a good spot. The interrupt is a big issue, I miss it from playing shaman in SL, but in good groups it’s hardly needed. Honestly, all healers should have a ranged 12 second interrupt cause the dps surely aren’t.

Is it? I always want to try it out, but I’m kinda scared of it lol. Discord wouldn’t shut up complaining about Holy in its current state.

For me, currently in S3 DF:

Depending on the situation, Resto Druid or Holy Priest.

I don’t play healers because I am a smoothbrain mongoloid DPS bot that only acknowledges yellow numbers, but aesthetically druids are my favorites. Night elf druids specifically with culturally referenced transmogs. Awwwwwwww yiss, that’s the business right there.

Actually, I do this a lot, it’s a solid AOE stop if the group is out of them. There’s so much damage going out, the mobs break fear almost immediately.

Resto Druid.

But I think Resto Shaman is slowly taking over, I’ve been leveling it more than doing keys.
Number 1 I really like having a short CD interrupt that’s easy to pick up in the tree. I also like Healing Stream totem more than Grove Guardians tbh. The totem feels better. The trees don’t heal everyone equally, they kinda favor your target at first, they’re burstier than the totem for sure.
The real big meat and potatoes is how Shaman handles Afflicted though. I don’t wanna be screwed on Afflicted weeks anymore, if I get a group where I’m the only one who can do the affix, I wanna be able to just do it and not struggle. Resto Druid is still bunk at Afflicted, it eats your Swiftmend cooldown if you have to deal with 2 and is clunky.

Also Purge is interesting. Shaman has a good chunk of utility honestly. (Reincarnation totem is so weird, I’ll hafta learn how to use that)
