DM tribute so I can get my epic mount in one or two days.
Felcloth from the Satyr’s in Azshara
The auction house.
Learned to play the AH game while sitting around in town bored out of my mind waiting on PvP queus, while tethered to battelmasters… Fairly certain it will be the same in Classic.
EDIT: For quicker gold farming, however, I intend to do one of the 3 gold farms:
-Rogue PIckpocket farm BRD
Warlock DM:E solo
Warlock eye farming (item needed for the priest staff quest)
Later vanilla, selling warlock epic mount runs is profitable, but takes longer than it’s worth… and having a plethora of lvl 35 alchemist/tailors for transmute/mooncloth cooldowns
If you are really interested in maximizing gold income, I’d recommend youtubing some of the gold farming methods PServer players use… They’ve gotten it down to a science at this point, and most of it is entirely independent of professions, as Pservers are typically way too overcrowded for professions to be all that profitable.
Camps in Silithus
Whatever zone Uldaman is in - has some spawns of dragons that is solid money
Tyrs hand (as a pair is best)
EPL - some of the areas with ghosts have a spawn timer that will net you solid money, and little downtime (as a rogue)
As a warlock, I did mara farming with the goblin and princess boss. It was very hard since you had to wait for the trash mobs to reach the correct path or they would aggro and kill you. I got about 30g per hour doing this and got my epic mount with it.
Silithus before 1.8 revamp. (Well, actually, around 1.7 farming got taken over by… is it racist to say chinese cold farmers? Cause back then that’s pretty much what they were. They would hack to mine the nodes from under the world). Hunter with good gear, I would train into the hives and flop at a node, stand up with a freezing trap. drop my pet on the other spawn in the room, mine the node, and wing clip my way out.
I dont get what people farm at 60. Gold flows from so many areas of the game it doesnt matter. I just farm rare patterna for crafting.
Azshara for dreamfoil.
DM:N, I made so much money on shifting cloaks.
BRD was my favorite on my rogue. I never soloed the Emp, but it was fun trying.
AOE farming Scarlet Monestary as a paladin WoWHobbes style is way sick. One pulling the dungeon then looting all the mobs individually and finding a BoE scarlet piece or if you’re really lucky an epic could be cool.
I don’t remember if it was vanilla or early bc, it has just been too long, but I remember fishing from ship wreck pools in around booty bay and throwing most of the stuff on AH. It brought in a good amount of gold for me.
Tyr’s Hand 100%
I spent days at a time grinding Satyrs in Felwood.
Un’Goro crater was really the only farm spot I had. Mostly looking for Thorium for my bullets/arrows. Didn’t really attempt much else and I really enjoy the zone.
Outdoor farming is not going to go well because now everyone knows and will crowd the good spots. Dungeons will be the only “good” place to farm.
Furbolgs until that grind was over, and later Silithus camps because the gear from even the low boss mobs could be worth it for the non-raider. Dungeonwise I was always incredibly partial to anything in Blackrock Mountain.
i remember spending hours apon hours grinding yetis in that cave in hillsbrad and skinning them
Is it worth farming shadowfang keep for the assassins blade and shadowfang sword? Sell those lvl19 blue weapons on the AH for twinks?
