Favorite Classic maps you'll be returning to!

With Classic launching in mere days, it’s time to revisit our favorite locations, before Cataclysm/the cataclysm altered things forever.

For me, the original Barrens is what I’m looking forward to most, followed by Elwynn Forest, Un’Goro Crater, Thousand Needles, Tanaris, and Stranglethorn Vale. Playing modern WoW since last December, it’s been extremely jarring how much the quests themselves have been rewritten - entire quests removed entirely and replaced with new questlines that simply aren’t as engaging/interesting. In addition, I haven’t liked a lot of the newly-added music to the new versions of my favorite zones. What makes me want to return to the areas mentioned above is a combination of topography, quests, and music/ambience, which was lost after the Cataclysm.

Where in Classic WoW does your heart belong? And why?

Definitely Loch Modan.

Well, this is like the 5th thread of this today so far, but I want to see the Shimmering Flats again.

I apologize if I didn’t see similar threads were already made, a lot of them are probably getting pushed down by the more…controversial…topics, as per.

But yeah, excited to have 1K Needles (I remember that’s how we shortened the name back then) and Shimmering Flats be the separate maps they used to be!

I found my way to the Kara crypts in the last stress test. It’ll be a great atmosphere for my warlock.

Looking forward to felwood and winterspring

I look forward to the zones that have like 4 quest. Looking at you Stonetalon.
