Favorite 3 Mounts and why

I know 3 is limiting, but in order to not have a thesis length for each post.

Cindermane Charger - from recruit a friend some time ago. It’s really hot!

Lightforged Warframe - best animations by far, both grounded (gun salute) or flying.

Champion’s Treadblade - great in snow and horde can’t ride it due to skillz.

#1 definitely my brutosaur, gotta love the utility it brings and it’s a huge dino.

#2 probably the maghar direwolf, imo the best looking wolf in game.

#3 Najatar crab, the one mount I dedicated time to specifically get.

#1 - Bloodfang Widow - it’s spooky, it’s rare, and I get angry whispers from people I freak out with it.
#2 - Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent - I dedicated way too many hours to get it and it looks great in Shadowform
#3 - Hivemind - also looks great in Shadowform, and transform mounts fit in doors

Headless Horseman’s Mount
Cenarion War Hippogryph
Silver Covenant Hippogryph

I like the smaller mounts, but the HH mount really fits the warlock look.

#1 Mechacycle Model-W - It looks amazing, one of the most unique mounts we’ve seen in a long time. Also, the [Mecha-Done] Achievement was a nightmare, and having gotten this mount it will never NOT be in the top three of my personal list. On that note, they need to increase the drop rates of anything related to the achievement to 100%.

#2 Pureheart Courser - 100 Exalted Reputation prior to the end of BFA was a Nightmare. I’m just glad more people will have an easier time getting it now that Shadowlands has added more reputations.

#3 Wildseed Cradle - I’ve wanted a mount where I can just sit back, relax, and it flies itself for me, for the longest time. I love the very, ‘luxury,’ appeal of this one. Pity its motion is like like a crack-addict on speed.

Uncorrupted Voidwing - First expansion me and my friends cleared a current content heroic raid together

Wolfhawk - Hunter vibes

Bruce - Bruce is neat.

Favorite three!

1: Grand expedition yak for convenience.

2: Crane mounts from Pandaria, I enjoy their animation and style.

3: Tyreal Charger for the flight animation and style until I get Invincible.

  1. Eche’Ro - I love me some spriit beasts, and Bulvinkel is my favorite. Perhaps that’s why I’ve tamed him 9 times now. I always ran Eche’Ro in places where I couldn’t fly. Then there was the day that I pushed the space bar for the mount emote before I take off in a direction, but I was off the ground… The day Eche’Ro could fly was the day he was my favorite mount by far.

  2. Deepcoral Snapdragon / Shu-Zen the Divine Sentinel - I know this is a pair of mounts, but I love them for the same reason, with one being flying, and one ground only. I love these two mounts because of their small profile. I am the same character height mounted or on foot when using the Deepcoral Snapdragon, and Shen is sleek without any wings popping out (I might like the different flying player-made panthers, but they’re uglier than Shen.)

  3. Grand Expedition Yak - Great value for the money spent. You have a vendor that can repair, who also sells trade skill items AND a mogger! Vroot! Also, it’s extra fun to kick the merchants off and let another player chair hop in the back as you plod along.

(Fun topic OP)

Edit - I just tested. I am actually a few pixels SHORTER when on the Deepcoaral Snapdragon than when on foot, er hoof. Neat!

All my mounts are crap

I just use corridor creeper so I don’t fail mounting in the maw

Spirit of echro… nice looking spirit mount and the helheim toy makes any mog go well with it.

Maghar direwolf. One of the best looking wolves in the game, right next to garn.

Farseer mount (shaman order hall). Unique that it changes color based on spec, and who doesn’t love riding an elemental, and it dances.

#1 - Jade Panther - my son bought it for me for my birthday so it’s very special to me.

#2 - Grand Expedition Yak - MOGS!! and vendor wherever mounts are allowed.

#3 - Nightborne Manasaber - I love the purple glow

I’m not into mount collecting. I have my favorites and they are all perfect for me. I don’t like the big oversized ground mounts or the huge winged flyers.

Headless Horseman - I was very excited when it dropped and still use it.

I like the Pandaren Dragons - but don’t remember the name right now.

The mounts I use are different for each toon I play. Nightbourne Manasaber for this toon.

Coalfist Gronnling is always cool when you need to have a mount parade.

  1. Time-Lost Proto Drake. I put far too much time and effort into getting this thing. So many long nights, many heart breaks of finding his body when I went out for a quick patrol, and countless painful stories about people “stumbling upon him” over nearly a decade of dedicated, routine searching. This thing belongs mounted on my wall as a victory prize.

  2. Swift Flight Form. Technically not a mount, but I got it back in the day when it was a long quest line, so it has a special place in my heart. I kept the old Moonstone you needed to use to summon Anzu, too; that’s currently sitting in my bank. I have such fond memories of that form, enough that it makes me sometimes want to change this guy back to a regular Tauren for the nostalgia.

  3. Grand Expedition Yak. Best investment of my WoW life, the transmog on the go is a very large part of my enjoyment. While I love my brutosaur for his uses, I still use the yak far more often because transmog is life.

I only use two…

(1) Invincible - He’s a flyer that doesn’t look large and obnoxious in dungeons, so I use him for flying, and for flying-restricted areas.
(2) Grand Expedition Yak - Repairs/cleaning out bags/transmog.
(3) Horde war bear - Prior to using Invincible in dungeons/non-flying zones, this was my go to. You asked for 3, so this would be my #3.
