Fatebound or death stalker for sin in tww?

Idk how I feel about the coin flipping with fate bound but I think death stalker missed the mark being about ambush….

This is for pvp btw, mostly 1v1, wpvp and bg.

If anyone can help me here with a rotation, I’m not sure where/when to use crimson tempest.

I usually open with

Garrote
Rupture
Cheap shot
Death mark/tea/trinket
Shiv
Cheap shot
Kings B
Cheap shot
Mutilate (full cp)
Envenom

Reapply dots since kings B still going.

When do you use crimson tempest? After all of this? When the target is low to hopefully proc sudden demise.

I’m thinking of going fatebound and then just forget about all the hero talents since they are all passives. I was wondering if i can get rid of the awesome cinematic of the coin flip, so it doesn’t distract from my ignoring the hero spec.

Use Ambush as an opener from stealth. It produces loads of combo points, and garrote with the silence and extra damage applies at any point that it’s used within the first 6 seconds after coming out of stealth.

The problem occurs when you need to refresh Deathstalker’s Mark and are stuck in combat. This is when players will find Deathstalker to be frustrating because:

It can only be applied with Ambush from stealth. Blindside procs don’t work.
It can only be refreshed with a FULL cp finisher. This will be the hardest adjust to make.

Sorry but I can’t support Fatebound for Assassination or Outlaw.

Fatebound in theory should work but in practice it will be like grinding your nails on a chalkboard.

Fatebound is what many are saying now…though they don’t lead to drastically different gameplay.

The mechanic for Deathstalker is just a headache for PVP.

When the dust settles, we all know we will play the build that sims the best, at least for PvE.

I know for a fact I will avoid Fatebound like the plague regardless of sims.

YOLO!

Fatebound isn’t too terrible.

Though Cosmic Magic Rogue is ostensibly worse than Shadow Magic Rogue. Very confused how we got here from “Use Knife, Flank Target”.

I refuse to support Fatebound as it just promote degenerate game play. Although Trickster forcing Kspree on a shorter cool down is just as bad.

neither are appealing to me

Calling it now we’re going to get a redesign in this expac. Which is how you know this dev team is trash b/c they just did one and totally ignored how bad it was.

The last revamp they did was greatly needed and improved many things… but Rogue could still use a tremendous amount of work (Hero talents haven’t received a major pass yet, but they likely need one).

It wasn’t really a revamp. All they did was shuffle some talents around and added stealth requirements to the rotation.

Rogues had a couple of very small passes, but the one I’m thinking of in particular moved quite a few things around and made several other things baseline.

We didn’t really need that redesign, what triggered that was the nerfs in the first month or two of the expac to rogues class wide. Much like DK and Priest those changes took out 1/2-3/4 of the talent tree so the whole thing was effectively worthless.

They finished 4 classes and launched the rest in a trash state. To cover this they nerfed the classes that were finished.

The revamp to rogue, spriest, dk wouldn’t have been needed had the team just focused on buffing the classes they buffed anyway, instead of nerfing rogue, dk, spriest.

The revamp undid some of the damage they did to Assassination and Outlaw early in th expansion. Problem is they introduced new problems (eg Outlaw) and they decided to cut and run.

Don’t let BlizZard slither away from their responsibilities.

They must fix the Rogue class.

I’m trying out Deathstalker right now, and let me just say…

it needs work.

Okay, look, I get it, it’s still early access, they may change things, but the fact of the matter is, they need to change the way this works.

As it stands, in single target, it’s fine. I say that in terms of open world content. Against multiple targets, without any way to reapply Deathstalker’s Mark without using Vanish, a good chunk of the tree becomes pointless.

Hunt them down? No mark, no extra damage.
Clear the Witnesses? No mark, no extra damage.
Singular Focus? No mark, no extra damage.
Darkest Night? No mark, no extra damage.

Now, I have not looked over every other hero talent tree for every class, but it seems like having over a third of the talents be unusable if you can’t, for whatever reason, Ambush from Stealth, makes Deathstalker as a Hero Talent tree much less… usable than other trees.

Like, I’m not seeing the same scale of problem with the Stormbringer tree for Shamans. (I haven’t played my Shaman much lately, so I could well be missing something), but there doesn’t seem to be a “Oh, you didn’t have Capacitor Totem down, a third of the tree doesn’t work.”

Now, what would be the fix for this?

Honestly, the simplest fix would be to have Blindside Ambushes apply three stacks of Deathstalker’s Mark if there are none on the target. That would solve the “Vanish is on cooldown” problem, let us apply in mid-fight when it procs…

Because otherwise, you know there’s going to be dungeon or raid bosses that we just will not be able to do this on, because of mechanics, or phases of the fight.
