Fate of Tyrande

Going to miss her shouting ‘MALFURION, MY LOVE!’

Spoiler: In one of the many datamined scenarios, *Relive the last moments of the Night Warrior* , implying that Tyrande (or at least her connection to Elune's vengeance) is defeated within the Shadowlands. In another scenario titled *Recovering Tyrande Whisperwind* we search for her within Torghast, fighting off various minions of the Maw, culminating in a battle against an amalgam of tortured Night Elf souls.

While there isn’t a lot of information to go off of, the implication is that Tyrande follows Sylvanas into the Shadowlands, tracking the Banshee Queen into the Maw, where the Night Warrior is defeated and sent to Torghast, after which we race to recover the Night Elf Priestess. Having been told that Tyrande will play a large role in the story of Ardenweld at launch and in future patches, it’s hard to say whether we actually succeed in saving Tyrande… or if she dies and enters the cycle of Ardenweld afterlife, similar to Uther in Bastion.

Whether she dies or not, you shouldn’t put spoilers or potential spoilers in the title

Better?

hey the alliance “won” right? :man_facepalming:

no revenge, no justice, evil still living up and kicking and we don’t know how SL will end.

I honestly don’t know what else will come after SL if writing shows BFA signs.

Don’t mind me. Just your friendly neighborhood image wolf.

(This basically does confirm that we’re experiencing the memories of other night warriors, not Tyrande).

Perfect conclusion for the Night Elves is Tyrande dying. I mean she got her revenge in 8.1 so why not just let her die?
It was definitely hinted at in a recent interview when Danuser said that there might be a tragic night elf cinematic (in game cutscene) coming.

Teldrassil was truly handled well - If any of the writers read this: you guys really suck. Just because you don’t like a race doesn’t mean you should be so toxic towards its fanbase.

well that image clearly makes sense of what I’ve read… tyrande will learn more about the night warrior… what OP said then it wouldnt be tyrande but one of the many night warriors…

Yup. This makes more sense with the quests the OP was talking about.

wut They just remove Tyrande’s night warrior? What on earth has she done with it?
Woah that was true. Devs really think that killing a Val’kyr IS the revenge for night warrior.

Blizz you have too much Sylvanas POV. I am very disappointed. And there is nothing I can expect about story now. I seriously start to think that there is a chance that Sylvanas will be redeemed again.

Woah. And it’s just matter of time before they ruin Anduin.
Thank God I realize this before I witness it.
This got rid of any slight interest that I had in SL. Geez.

I mean what else did you expect when they literally said it?

A chance? It should be obvious to everyone that she will be redeemed. That’s why Tyrande is going to die and why the entire revenge plot was that questline in 8.1.

I really don’t see how you could’ve expected more after they confirmed that 8.1 was the entire revenge plot.

I thought there would be more. Because it doesn’t make any sense! Perhaps in the form of Tyrande’s personal vendetta or sth. That’s why I was worried about that she would die in the process.
Devs are normal people. They cannot be that stupid. At least I thought like that.

Edit) And I really don’t read interviews about ongoing story because, I mean, WHO DOES THAT? You just can’t make sense in game, EVEN in the same xpac, so you have to do some interviews to say ‘Hey, it’s ended’? Even fan fic writers don’t do that.

Learned from BFA, LMAO. I don’t know it’s Alliance or Horde this time, but I bet one of us will face the same feeling we already had - when we heard “the Horde is nothing.”
It’s highly likely Alliance this time.

I loved Legion, the lore, my king, so really hoped the SL to be a sucess. But the more info I know, the worse feeling I get. Current writers don’t have enough ability to make the story. Not even for one expansion. Their best bet is sticking to the Chronicle and not touching it.

Oh wait, they’re trying to create the New World! Yeah… good luck with that.
Empty vessel makes the loudest noise.
I’ll take the 4th war as an epilogue.

Judging by the datamined text, we’re experiencing the memories of a previous night warrior, not tyrandes. There is no need to be upset.

What is she doing? she can’t even 2v1 Nathanos during the night, why would she chase Sylvanas to Torghast?

Really hope there’s “Don’t bother” choice for Recovering Tyrande Whisperwind.

It doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is and there is nothing we can do about it. 8.1 was the revenge plot. If that’s not enough for us we’re just being greedy.

The devs/writers are just hateful towards the Night Elves and their fanbase. It has less to do with being stupid but more with having a personal vendetta on the race. That’s why they are taking more and more from the race and never giving anything back. We are at a state now where Teldrassil and their lands are destroyed, most night elves dead and stuck in the maw forever and soon also Tyrande dying and the very person who’s responsible for that will be redeemed.

That’s just perfect proof that they are trying to drive away Night Elf fans from the game.

Exactly.
