Get dual spec and flip back and forth depending on whether you are questing or doing dungeons.

Play the AH if you don’t have the 1K for dual spec. Once you’ve got it, pull the trigger. Best decision I made today was to fork out the one time investment, which will get great use. Managed nearly two levels from quests as Dps then swapping back to Resto for instances. I’ve even made back most of my initial investment…

Just play as the DPS spec that shares stats with your healer spec (unless you’re a paladin lul) and quest to 80. If you don’t have a dedicated group to spam dungeons with then don’t level as healer.

This. Most dungeons are faceroll levels of easiness that you can readily heal as Shadow or Balance or Elemental.
Even if you play a DPS spec that doesn’t share stats (Feral, Enhancement, Retribution) just collect some off-spec greens and blues while levelling that you can throw on when opportunities present.
if this was the wotlk id say to grind random dungeons. Now I’d say just quest as DPS and pay the 15g to respec and run for gear every 10 levels.
