I heard the Season 3 Tier Set is good for Survival. What’s the fastest way to get it? I know you can get the season 1 Tier from Primal storm gear, and the Season 2 Tier from Dreamsurge gear, but does Season 3 have an equivalent?
It would probably be from Amirdrassil during non-awakened weeks. Weeklies in ED during non-awakened weeks may drop items that can be converted to s3 tier as well. That’s how I got my tier during season 3. It surprised me how awful survival s4 tier is.

If the old lower ilvl epic items drop on non-awakened weeks for certain content, can it still be turned into tier at the catalyst? I remember doing that right as season 3 ended about 10 hours before I expected it to (10pm the day before maintenance instead of ending with maintenance. I had unlimited charges. I didn’t have enough time to check if it was xmog only or still granted the tier set bonus as well.
One problem if that does still work is that the gear will be stuck at the ilvl it drops at since it’s not upgradeable. Granted, a 447 s3 tier item still outperformed an ilvl 493 s4 tier item that gave me the s4 4pc on my survival hunter (and broke the s3 2pc bonus), so it’s possible the lower ilvl items could still be worth it. That’s why I will be restoring the rest of my hunter’s s3 tier. It sounds like the OP does not have that option.
You can get Season 1 Tier Sets and transmog from Primal Storm gear at the Catalyst, and Season 2 Tier Sets and transmog from Dreamsurge or Time Rift gear. This is well-known. I’m wondering if there’s an equivalent for season 3.
I’m not talking about Raid Gear. Primal Storm and Dreamsurge Gear are open world gear that don’t have a timegate.
Season 3 tier is good for Survival Hunter in many situations. That’s why. If Raiding or weekly quests are the only option for a pretty much mandatory old tier set, that’s awful.
I’m kinda confused about what you’re talking about, but it sounds like you want the season 3 tier bonus. Season 3 is over. Season 4 offers the Season 1 bonus. There is no way to get any other set bonus. And the only way to get the current set bonus is from Awakened content.
I’m sorry, but you are way behind. Survival hunters are still using their Season 3 tier set in certain situations. Literally go in-game and try converting Primal Storm gear to Tier. It works.

You can only convert season 4 gear. And that gets converted to season 1 bonus. If hunters are using their season 3 set, its because they kept the gear they earned during season 3.
It’s not true that you can’t convert Primal Storm gear to Season 1 tier, unless something changed. Idk why you’re arguing so much. Just look it up.
Also you can get Season 3 tier gear from Amirdrassil.

I mean, non-awakened raids still drop their respective tier tokens. And items that are coded to be specifically s3 items will convert to s3 appearances and bonuses. Survival specifically wants their s3 set because their buffed s4 set doesn’t perform in AoE well, since Butchery isn’t used for damage, and giving it damage amps don’t help.
Anyways, see about farming Mythic Amirdrassil every week if you can, getting a group might be a bit rough since it’s basically an off season for a lot of people and they’re either on beta, remix, or not playing. Some stuff in the Emerald Dream is still dropping s3 related items, you may be able to transform those, but they’re gonna be woefully low item level in comparison.
