Fastest Way To Gear A Fresh 80? [New Player]

Hello, I’ve been doing a lot of research on the title above, and I need some feedback to see if my game plan is not only accurate, but as efficient as possible! I appreciate you taking the time to read this post :slight_smile:

  1. Go to siren isle and quest for the currency till you have 584 in every slot
  2. Watch Normal Nerubar on Youtube and do all 3 sections on LFR
  3. Once you hit xxx ilvl (Idk the actual number) run normal nerub-ar in a pug or a guild if you can find one **I have had issues finding a guild that is not on a break :frowning: *
  4. Hit ilvl 600 and start running tier 8 delves

4b) Start running mythic plus (again having trouble finding a guild that’s not on break)

  1. Farm Omens and purchase 620+ crafted pve gear and weps

  2. Research Heroic mechanics & Start running the Heroic Raid while continuing with Tier 9+ delves

  3. Mythic Raiding

What are you thoughts on this guys? Also what are the best PROFS for farming gold. I’ve heard most say Min/Herb and a select few said to Enchant Proficiency on a Skinning Knife and you can make 40k+ and hour with a group.

Are you DPS, Tank or Healer.

Regardless of what you do, the best way is basically go to Sirens Isle, farm your Ring and BiS gems (check what they are on WoWhead, but 90% of the time they’ll be “X of every stat”, “Mastery + gems scale with mastery” and “RNG proc of another gem @ 150% effectiveness”.

You’ll get some catch up gear while you do this.

From there it’s just farm M+. You wanna get to doing 7s as quickly and farm them for Crests to Craft gear.

This season is coming to an end soon, so a lot of the gear won’t matter unless you wanna make the start of next season easier.

If you pvp it’s best to farm honour before the start of next season and store it to grab next seasons green gear.

You have the gist of it. You don’t really need to touch the raid if you don’t want to. As long as you’re doing M+ and clearing a tier 8 bountiful delve whenever you have a spare key, you’ll be caught up reasonably well before the season is over. Although now is as good a time as any to try and find a guild to raid with next tier, if that’s something you’re interested in doing.

Yes, this is good, but you will loot SO MANY items for free of the same item level. It’s Veteran gear, so you can then boost it with valorstones and crests in Dornagal up to 606.

My point is that you can buy them with the currency, but you should wait until after you’ve done the entire day’s work out there before doing so because you’ll get a ton of it just from doing the activities.

My guild is Alliance based, and while cross-faction is a thing, it’s not really that easy and there are still hiccups with trading items, etc.

But if you really can’t find anyone…hit me up ingame and you’d be welcome (we do have some members who main a Horde toon and we’ve made it work). We are AotC, not CE, but we have a group of folks still active between tiers and we’re all working on 2k rating and doing super low keys on baby alts.

EDITED TO ADD:

Don’t forget the weekly quests that give chests. You’ll get a 613 item for doing the timewalking weekly which takes less than two hours most times.

AFAIK, there’s no reason outside cheetos to do delves over Tier 8.

I would say the fastest way is siren isle. There’s 584 gear just sitting there waiting and super easy to gain. that would at least get jumpstarted

You don’t need 600 for T8 delves. You can do them with the 584 gear from siren isle. Especially if you spark it into tier gear.

Same with normal Nerubar, 584 should be enough.

I would do all of them, but don’t let the PvP quest at the gates pass you up. As Alliance, you rarely miss a supply drop and you will be able to cap out Bloody Tokens very quickly. The PvP gear is pretty decent. Even though it’s loaded with Vers, it’s pretty decent.

my two cents FWIW:

for an absolutely fresh 80, siren isle is a great catch up spot. get your ring and gems. upgrade the ring.

depending on your renown, you could also get four 594 pieces (chest, shoulders, cloak, and helm iirc).

then
-run your delves with coffer keys
-weekly time walking quest
-craft a 619 weapon with sparks
-craft a 619 trinket with sparks
-run eight +8 delves to max your vault
-catalyze your 4 piece bonus

then go to the gear upgrade vendor and upgrade everything you can as high as you can.

this is probably 4-6 hours of play time that should get you north of 600 ilevel.

FYI: you can run +8 delves with siren isle starter gear.
then run m+ starting with +2s.
