I absolutely will not pay boosters, but I am happy to pay for a guide.
Anyone have some advice for me?
I really want my shaman in the dark portal on day 1

What if your guide tells you to use boosters?
I mean if you REALLY want the best way you level to 10-11 whatever level it is to get into dungeons and then have a mage boost you in dungeons all the way to 60.
Get on the ptr right now and start practicing leveling. It’s faster if you know where the quests and their objectives are.
Thought I was clear about boosters. But even if it was free I would not do it.
As for practicing, I am currently playing on a server with no high level toons and am trying to get a character as high as I can in the mean time. Maybe that counts?
No one for guides? What about Elwynn vs Draenei starting zone?
Gotcha thought you meant the payed boost.
Use Google.
Tried that first, and did not get a good answer, hence the post.
Either one you want. Sw has a shaman trainer in the valley of heroes. I don’t use guides because I practice leveling as efficiently as possible. I’m sure some will exist. The questie addon will certainly help. What realm are you on? I’m gonna park my mage at the draenei starting zone and sell ports lmao.
I am on Grobulus.
I think I might try the starting zone and if it is too nuts, I will be looking for mages and/or warlocks to help me out.
Questie is good for questing but not really a guide.
There’s an addon called guidelime that lets you import other guides into it and it works sort of like azeroth auto pilot, but with custom guides.
Haven’t actually used this so I can’t vouch for this specific one, but did a google search and there’s things like this that you can use with guidelime:

I am using guideline now and it is quite good. You have to be choosy about which guides you use as some seem to be better than others
Sage’s guide was quite good, but not sure if that is updated for TBC or not.
Right, so here’s what you do.
You go from quest to quest.
You finish the quests.
A little bit of murdering is fine, too.
You run a dungeon every now and then.
You keep repeating this process until you eventually reach 60.
Maybe allocate seven straight days for it because apparently that’s the record for reaching 60.
Have fun.
You’ll want to aim for zones that are based more around quest hubs to be as streamlined as possible. TBC zones were considered far better at the time because they improved the concept of quest hubs, which really speeds up levelling and cuts down on travel time. That said, the majority of the old world didn’t get to that point until Cata, and many quests are going to be more spread out until you hit TBC content.
To that end, you’ll want to finish out the Draenei starting zones, and then look for zones that have collections of quests all in the same general area. If you want to try and hit 60 before the Dark Portal opens then that eliminates Dustwallow as an option for when you get to that level, sadly. It was revamped in TBC and became one of the best zones to quest and level in until Cata.
Stranglethorn would be one such place, Nesingway and Booty Bay have a lot of quest clusters that you can do at the same time. Duskwood is another safe bet. As you get higher level you’ll find that these quest cluster hubs become fewer, and you may need to reply on dungeon quests and XP to supplement.
Only level with rested xp, fastest way! /s
I’ll preface this by saying I am no leveling expert, and am speaking on almost pure speculation, as my experience leveling in the old world before the implementation of LFD is limited to a single Night Elf Hunter, which I got to 55 in order to create a Death Knight. With that said, my speculated plan is as follows:
Azuremyst > Bloodmyst > boat to Darkshore then Stormwind > Darkshire > hearth to Exodar for mount > return to Stormwind > Stranglethorn > Blasted Lands > Outland
I am speed
ez, take off work or school, make hot pockets then lock the door
then is not the fastest way
Try watching a speed run I guess.
Also I think Joana is making a leveling guide for TBC.
My guild will boost all of the fresh shamies in a guild, including ZG.
