Fastest way through Legion?

As the title says, whats the fastest way through legion? Would it be just questing, doing dungeons, Questing + Dungeons.

By being a gnome and running through their legs only got imps to worry about.

Azsuna is under attack right now, hit that first. Just doing the essential story quests from whichever few zones you enjoy the most (pick 2, and have a 3rd for a backup) will get you there. Random Dungeons are fantastic XP with the quest, but the odds of randoming the dungeon you need aren’t great.

Typically takes me 5-6 hours to get through Legion just by questing.

Bonus objectives. Some of them require some questing for them to activate, but that’s the best exp. after the invasions.

If you use the tomtom addon;

/way Azsuna 38.0, 52.0

/way Azsuna 46.0, 11.0

This one I beleve was my fastest leveler.
If you could somehow plot his track thru…
I only tanked him I beleve…
He is 113 could have stoped at 110, but wanted to get some of the 110 stuff on him. Real fun to level.

Only doing legion assaults, invasions, and those 100K xp dungeon quests is the fastest way.

Legion Assault is pretty fast when they are up. Check Wowhead for Legion Assault times. I went from 100-110 just from doing the Initial story in Val’sharah and doing 2 days of Legion Assaults.

The OP question is a little misleading, because there are 2 answers.

1> The fastest way in REAL TIME.
2> The fastest way in TIME PLAYED.

Because for #1, @Stabmcstabby is right. If you just log on and focus on Invasions, you’ll be 110 in probably just over 1 hour /played. That’s NOTHING.

The caveat is that it will probably take almost two weeks… to play that one hour. See what I’m saying?

But for #2, as I write this on a Saturday morning, you could go from 110-> 120 probably by the Saturday evening just doing the “normal WoW grind”: queue for a dungeon, start questing, do Pet Battles when you can. THAT is the fastest “real time” way to grind.

So #2 will probably that 8-10 hours in real time, but you can get it done in just ONE DAY.

You then have to ask yourself: which of those two “fastest ways to level” do I want?

Thats actually really helpful, but how does Pet Battles help? Does it give xp?

They all do-- but the amount varies.

But in general Pet Battles are always worth doing.

Closing your eyes and accepting the pain. At least it ain’t WoD.

WoD is even faster (if you have flying) Handynotes with WoD treasure locations. :ok_hand:

Bonus tip! My post for the “fastest” way to level in Legion? Applies EXACTLY the same for BfA, because BfA has the same-style Invasions.

Heirlooms. Send the toon some Draught of 10 Lands. Darkmoon Faire buff - pretty sure that’s up tomorrow.

DMF buff is only reputations, eh? I don’t think it’s also a 10% xp buff.

And even if it was, it probably wouldn’t be worth it in WoW. Why?

1> (most importantly) 10% isn’t that much. It’s like … ten… or something.

2> The 10% isn’t applied to everything. In fact, it’s MOSTLY only applied to mobs. And if you’ve played WoW for more than a day, you should know that most of our XP comes from quests, not mobs.

This is why Blizz gives us these boosts to begin with-- they largely don’t matter.

3> Even if you want to focus on the petty bonus, you waste just as much time going back and forth to DMF than if you if you just stayed where you were and knocked out 1-2 more quests.

All in all, it’s just not worth it.

Azeroth auto pilot is your friend

Questing, not dungeons cause the queue times take forever and not sure if its worth it. But also invasions. Make sure you do all invasions. Also, do the bonus exp areas when you are questing. They make a huge difference.

Depends. Do you have flying? If you do, questing is likely the fastest option regardless of what role you are. If you don’t have flying and you’re a tank, doing only dungeons would likely be fastest. If you don’t have flying and you’re not a tank, then questing while you queue for dungeons is likely fastest.

Yes. Also, if there’s an invasion up, do every quest. They’re roughly one level per invasion.

When you have rested XP, do the bonus quests in each zone. Those are fast, easy quests with a lot of XP.

If you ride the merry-go-round or the roller coaster, it’s 10% xp buff for an hour. You just have to keep going back. It’ll also vanish if the player dies.

I’ve actually never seen the rep buff. Is that something new for max level players?
