In all seriousness though... there is a Cooking hat for faster Cooking... there should absolutely be an item or toy to speed up Smelting speed!

No real need to add a smelting item to the game, Blizzard already removed smelting from current and future content starting in Warlords.

I think for smelting they need to borrow the D3 Crafting progress option where no matter how many you smelt (rather its 5 or 500) its all done at same time.

Actually Smelting was GIven to Blacksmiths in WOD I haven't been in mode to see how it is in Legion but i assume again was given to Blacksmiths which i feel is BS. Even though I consider myself a Cata kid Smelting was always with Mining gave them multiple ways to make money either sell ore as is or smelt it now all they can do is just sell the ore, granted I am sure most of the time the Ore was sold and if someone needed it smelted they would ask in Trade Chat or send it to there alt to smelt it. Maybe they didn't want those with mining to make to much gold.

technically Smelting wasnt removed from game was jsut removed from the Mineing Profession and added to the Blacksmith Profession

Resurrecting this topic because YES PLEASE! It’s been said so many times over the years… we have items like the Chef’s Hat so please give us an equivalent for Smelting already!

Or, even better, and similarly to what they did with ‘Mass Milling’, something like ‘Mass Smelting’. You’d smelt the ores in groups instead of 1 by 1, make a long questline to unlock the feature or whatever, but keeping it as it is, it’s very old, and very time consuming.

Most people play on one account only, and stalling the gameplay on other toons just to have that one miner take a long, and unnecessary, time for a task that shouldn’t be…

People are also forgetting that, unless you keep alt-tabbing once in a while to keep the character logged on, if you get out of the pc, and ‘forget’ to look it back, the game will log it off, depending on how many bars/ingots you’re making.
