Just coming here again to say raid loot should be adjusted to reflect the increased pacing of anniversary classic. If its not this is basically just TBC waiting room, and if it is meant to be TBC waiting room, we should just be doing prepatch, might as well let people make their belfs and nei now.

In a way people not having so many pieces of gear for initial PvP is closer to the original Vanilla release when the vast majority of people didn’t have gear for like the entirety of Vanilla.
With that said tho, now people are raiding every lockout from MC + Ony launch so the gear will come fast regardless.
If you’re late to gearing, a lot of the other people won’t need the pieces and you’ll get them for free rather quickly to catch up.
Unless you’re a warrior, there’s like 10,000 warriors competing for every piece so in that case good luck

While I understand the frustration the things I will say is that once PvP gets released people will be focused on AV and just AV due to the exalted rewards and hph it provides. If playing sweaty, the best AV is one when the only time you see an enemy player is when you ride past them in mid and do your pve objectives asap.
Also most people aren’t in full mc/ony bis so that in itself will help level the playing field.
Here again to say increased drops are fine only if don’t expect transfers onto Era at the end of the fresh season.
I’ve done every lockout my dude, gearing takes a long time in classic and we have basically half the time per phase to gear 40 people.
AV isn’t the best HpH, people will prolly get exalted and swap to WSG, then eventually AB.
Well, if you’ve done every lockout then you’re actually the one who is ahead of the vast majority of people in terms of gearing already.
And there’s only been 3 lockouts, so everyone else is in the exact same boat, so it’s not really unfair for anyone at all.
Why complain about not having “gear” (bis gear?) to PvP with, when every other person is in the exact same situation?
You’re implying i’ve gotten loot.
If you’ve raided every lockout, I’m sure you have better gear than someone who is currently level 58 for example.
It’s a relative scale, even the people who did get some gear generally only got a couple pieces, and that’s really not a big deal at all.
Especially if you’re a mage? Frost is such a good PvP spec essentially without any gear shatter + ice barrier makes up for everything and you can kite.
I’m just saying PvPing without BIS gear on everyone can actually be a lot more fun and interesting than just having everyone be full BIS immediately. That’s just more boring at that point, you can’t do as much when everyone is already full min/maxed.
Plus, I take pleasure in killing the guy with multiple tier pieces when I’m in blues, it’s much more rewarding knowing they got owned even with that gear advantage.
Im not a mage, i’ve played this game since 2004 vanilla, I cleared OG naxx, this system is dogwater.
I am entierly aware that the content is easy, but I also don’t want to slog through BWL in preraid blues. The game is solved but for some reason blizzard wants to nerf gear aqquisition and most classes gold farms (instead of just banning the bots that abuse them).
What the he11 are we doing? Parsing is going to be even more rng dependant than normal with less gear in the ecosystem, prices are jacked up because gear conveys more value and mining currently is a bot monopoly.
I just dont understand the reasoning, why give us rushed classic without TBC ammentities. if TBC is the endgoal.
Parsing is a plague. It convinces players it’s not good enough to clear MC in 1 hour, we have to do it in 59 minutes and get a 100 parse or else this game is dogshsh**!!!
I hate this parsing BIS list culture, it’s just not necessary at all, and I think you’re highlighting the damage it does to having FUN in the game.
If the game is solved, why do you need BIS gear in order to play it?
Logically, you should need less gear given that the game is solved right?
Also you started with talking about PvP, now you’re talking about raid parsing, why switch the issue?
Even if TBC is the next goal, it doesn’t mean it invalidates all of Vanilla, why try to skip steps?
Enjoy each part as it comes, there’s literally been 3 lockouts, everyone does NOT need full BIS gear by lockout 4, or even afterwards.
I feel like so many players are just crazy spoiled into thinking every single player should have full BIS gear at all times after 1 raid, that makes the gear feel meaningless and defeats the purpose of progressing which is what the game is all about.
Right now the gear feels meaningful precisely because it’s scarce, that’s how it’s supposed to be.

could do it in greens, do I want to? No… I would much rather pop on and clear MC / BWL / AQ in sub 3 hours.

stop talking about BiS dude… no one is talking about being full BiS, even in normal classic you aren’t going to get full bis. You’re lucky to be half of 3/4ths geared with “ok” items by BWL, but now you’re going to be lucky to have 3p
