Faster Mining?

I am farming Saronite and Titanium veins in Icecrown. I just watched an alliance player mine a vein in about half the time of my mining cast. Is there something I am missing? I checked the auction house for enchants and the only ones I could find are the Legion, Zandalari, and Kul’tiran mining enchants which of course only work in their respective zones. I checked google as well and found nothing.

I found something called Darkmoon Firewater which reduces gathering time. Maybe that’s what he was using?

I used to stack firewater with fizzy apple cider on my herb picker. Worked up until Legion I think, and then the professions got split up into expansion-specific sections and the enchants for gathering faster don’t stack with them. It was probably just firewater you saw.

The cider is account-bound and you can only get some at Christmas.
