The problem with the minivision is that if you don’t know where your targets are, you’ll waste so much time finding them that you’ll run out of sanity.

At this point why even bother. Find something you like doing in the game and do it.

At this point if you are still struggling to get it to max level just enjoy other aspects of the game as shadowlands will make the cloak and neck only usable in azeroth where none of us will be anymore.
I’ve been back 15 days, and I have no idea what Malefic Cores and Echoes of Ny’alotha are, or how to get them. Probably won’t bother, since I’ve gotten Pathfinder 2, so I’ve pretty much finished the game

If you really want people to max their cloak and enjoy life, let us buy all the cores and skip the terrible content known as Horrific Visions. Or, failing that, lower the amount of books you need to find for all levels of the cloak. It was so disheartening to learn I had to get 4 books to upgrade from 8 or 9…I’m not even sure what level my cloak is at, nor do I care at this point.

Why Isn’t the cloak account wide?? I would definitely spend more time playing all my alts (Because playing other classes is so much fun) if I wouldn’t had to do an 8 hour quest to get the cloak. Its boring and discouraging, makes you want to quit the game at least on my case.
Seriously why? If I could gear and play all my alts I would have much more fun, Much more fun = more time playing, even invite friends and convince them to get back to the game = More money for blizzard.
But no just make them do an 8 hour quest on every alt…

Just chiming in on this as it’s not accurate. You only have to do the assualt in uldum. The mop assualt isnt required for the cloak quest chain. All you have to do is kill the final boss of the assualt area and then go back to ra-den.
Killed Nzoth heroic never received any kind of cloak upgrade. What is this madness I am reading? I actually just unsubbed due to the months it was going to take me to get the cloak from 15 from level 9.

Sorry you misunderstood… The cloak upgrade you get from N’zoth is AFTER you have maxed your cloak (to 15)…
The only way to LEVEL UP your cloak (from 9 as you say) is to run horrific visions. You can use Echoes to buy entries to horrific visions… but you cannot get upgrades from N’zoth until AFTER you get to level 15 cloak.
Also… the only way it should take you MONTHS as you claimed to go from rank 9 to rank 15 is if you play like 1 hour a week. EVEN if you are bad player and EVEN if you have no friends to help you… you should be able to do 2 zones per run given you clearly did at least 1 zone per run to get to 9 in the first place. At 2 zones per run you are 12 runs away from 15 (again 2 zones is VERY BAD as well if you are any good at a cloak 9 you could full clear)… If you play 1-2 hours per day you can do 5 runs per week. if you play only like 3 days a week you can do 4 runs per week. That isn’t including buying runs with echoes. You shoould be able to buy 2-5 runs per week with echoes.
I’m sorry you aren’t having fun with the game but you both clearly misunderstood how the upgrades work (guess that means blizzard should have explained better) and you are clearly doing something wrong in visions if you think 5 levels will take you mulitple months instead of like 3 days.

Would love some other way besides visions, can’t stand them. I tried them went as far as level 8 cloak. Hated every sec in them. So will not go back. Would love to be able to catch up some other way.

Yeah, I stopped running visions with my new R8 cloak on alt. Its torture.

Just lower all the requirements for essences on HOA and reduce echoes for everything to 500 so people can actually get things they want without this stupid grind still.

This please. Also cut down the cloak aquisition for alts. TY. I’ve done atleast 16 cloaks, i’m starting to see N’zoth scenarios in my dreams.
I have only done my main and 1 other alt, it is too painful only to be so far behind on cloak corruption resistance.
