Ya, except that part where everything costs 5 times as much, too. Both drop rates and costs increased by the same multiple, which just had the effect of reducing current pools by that factor. ie. if you had 5000 pooled, before you could get 10 R3 essences, now you can only get 2. And with only 17 hours of notice on the change, many people missed out on that and got kinda shafted by Blizzard’s knee-jerk change.

They sort of cut both ways, but it does hurt. When I came back from playing classic, all my Titan Residuum was gone - it wasn’t part of PVP seasons, wasn’t devalued, wasn’t that TR became easier to get, just my TR disappeared and TR became harder to get at the same time. It was like the opposite of how their other grind nerfs work in later patches.
But then there was double xp, double rep, got Mechagon from nothing to revered in a week, pathfinder 2, emissaries giving ilevel 440 gear to my main, and 420 gear to this toon so far, AP blasting through HOA levels. (I remember they specifically made AP not hordable so people couldn’t just explode themselves with power on the X.3 grind nerf.)
I have some echoes around the place and thought people were saying echoes were going to be reset, but looks like they just devalued them which is slightly less bad than converting them to silver… And buffing their drop rate 5x is what they did with the legion currency we used to buy legendaries. Suppose I’ll get over the lost TR thing…

Is the vendor going to include those specific corruption or only the generic ones ? (example ra-den’s fist weapon unguent caress , will those type of corruption be available…)

Really won’t know til it shows up on the vendor, or Blizzard tells us (yea right). But I would think Raidbots has advanced knowledge of this stuff so they can keep their website / software up to date, and none of those raid-only corruptions are listed in their Top Gear section.
So I’m gonna presume the answer is No.

No way I’ll have enough in time to get corruptions I want before they rotate out for a month, but hey people who did less content than me have 20k+, because some arbitrary decision that let them earn echoes while I couldn’t, will be able to buy everything they want before it rotates out and be a month ahead of me without putting any extra effort in. This sure is fair.

Could have created a new currency that echos could buy if they choose to and still be able to buy essences with the work already done. All my alts suffered. I get the argument “why didn’t you buy it before” and my answer is because I was working on emissaries and mythics and upgrading the back and daily’s/WQ and assaults and pvp conquest and islands and artifact power and raid and rep grind and figuring out a good combo with all the corruption without having too much corruption… and most of all working on my main!
It’s a bit ironic that their “solution” to this has left both sides annoyed. Alts are annoyed that essences now cost a boatload more, and any savings they had accrued are worth a fifth as much towards those essences, and mains are annoying because they never had a chance to pool in the first place. It really is starting to feel as if this wasn’t just a wrong solution, but in fact the exact opposite of the correct solution to this problem.

blizzard is all about making weird moves that don’t make sense
but common sense says no, things like ungent caress or the polearm from maut wont be added to the vendor
it only makes sense that it would be corruptions that can drop on any piece at any time

anyone else happy that because they played the game more than other people that they’re punished coming into this change?
one of my friends went into this vendor implementation with 25k echoes because he didn’t have all the essences while i went into it with 0 because i had them all
I know it would make sense , wouldnt have asked if it was any other company haha
