Fast pace games but is it too fast?

I know many players want fast paced games but is the meta too fast, especially now with legendarys?

I’d say yes and it’s burst that needs help, not sustain. Players who want a nerf on damage DON’T want the game to go to “bfa snails pace” dampen but certain burst abilities are FAR too strong. I’m not sure how much to nerf “x” abilities by, a blanket nerf on damage isn’t the answer, just a question of how lazy blizzard is (and we know they are very…).

That is a good response to wait and see how things play out a month into the season etc. I personally don’t know if gear will help/ hurt/ nor change much of anything. Legendarys only seem to make the game faster.

having more vers and stats probably affects the damage a bit, same with conduits and soulbinds

not to mention skirms is a really inaccurate measurement of the state of the game since half the time you play against rank 1s and the other half you play against pve bots

will be easier to tell when rank is released and actual mmr is involved so you can tell the diff between skill and balance

but yes personally i prefer slower games since i play rot comps, fast games r boring i dont even get to do anything before stuff dies

I love the faster times to kill, while this will slow down a little once people are on average 220 ilvl this feels good to play.

I love it. Consistently long damper games are draining and a chore to play imo.

Would you love it if burst was toned down 5%? 10%? What if we buffed damage 10%! The game is super fast paced but there are handful of abilities that are doing tooo much damage.

Yeah, but I try to keep in mind that the game is balanced around its “end-state.”

Things like damage output will be less wonky as the majority of characters progress towards said end-state. I.e., legendaries aquired, increase of average ilvl, soulbind progression, etc.

The game has always been like this. I played Vanguards at the beginning of WoD, and kill windows were pretty similar to how they are now. My teammate and I would literally double-stun healers and win every game that way. Eventually as we all became geared and whatnot, the pace of the game leveled out. SL is no different.

I think the reason there’s so much anger right now is because there’s a lot of collective cynicism coming out of BfA.

Regardless of any hypothetical variables or upcoming tuning, I’m satisfied with the state of the game. Healing is fun and challenging.

And WoW is such a time-sink anyway, and I don’t want that amplified with constant 20 minute arena games.

are you suffering from having low iq? if i played bfa i would advocate nerfing bursts so we can play dampening games?

where do you see me defending rogues? i am advocating against casual players with minimal knowledge about arena (such as yourself) pushing for balancing 2 weeks into the expansion

EDIT: you must be some some mythic pver who thinks you actually “climbed” in bfa because you were carried by gear/corruption and now you are getting a reality check in the git gud xpac
